Pass inspection????? In my area we have people driving stuff around that they dragged out of the weeds or the junk yard. Used cars that I looked at when I was a teen as a first car. Oh and they still look and sound like they just got drug out of the fence row.

I feel for the people that live in the strict "oh my gosh your exhaust isn't stock! you can't drive it"...... as a harley passes by with unreasonably loud aftermarket exhaust and you can tell it has cams. Then a crotch rocket screams by all "raced out". Oh and check out that diesel truck with an 8" exhaust out the bed.

Driving as a citizen on the road. If it can be plated as legal to drive and can make trips to town then its a street car. or
If it's a race car then whatever the street car class rules say.

A street car to me is a car that isn't so overly built that it's a hassle to drive. Like others said, AC isn't a necessity but it's certainly nice. A street car has a full or mostly full interior and hasn't had features meant for your safety disabled or removed. A street car is a car that even your Granny can get in and putt around in. If you have to climb over your cage to get in, flip switches to engage your fuel pump and all your gauges, and strap yourself into the racing seat with your 5 point harness, it's not a street car anymore.
