This may be far fetched, but I was wondering if this is a possibility?

Find a 4 bar gm map sensor, then cut the pigtail and wire inline where mine once was.

then do the same with iat sensor?

im short on funds and although 100 bucks for one sounds fine. I just spent that on my gm maft set up. :(

unless anyone wants to trade :)

No issues - just make sure your connections are solid (e.g. solder them).

I didn't do it for cost. I switched to SD when ECMTuning came out with it. At that point, they didn't have their SD cable, so it was the only way to do it.

I used an AEM 5 bar MAP sensor (initially) and an AEM IAT (rebranded GM IAT - didn't know it at the time) that I bought from an online vendor.

4 Bar map sensor can be had from digikey for like 15 bucks or so. Its a freescale absolute pressure sensor. Ive taken two ebay 3bar maps apart and converted to a true 3 bar and 4 bar. BTW its the same exact sensor OMNI Power uses and charges out the ass. As far as IAT you can try a cheap alternative but I purchase the iat bung and pigtail from diyautotune.com

These are exactly the answers I was looking for :)

was the wiring a issue? where did you tap for the sensor?

Thanks again for all the feed back guys.

You can use the MAF plug/harness for the 5V for the map sensor. If you can pick up a maf sensor for pennies or a broken one you can make a plug and play harness urself.

I grabbed mine at the junk yard....The spliced into the harness. Works awesome and speed density imho is better than a blow through style sensor

What make and model did you guys grab your sensors from ? And where would I locate a iat ? I looked it up ans they said its inside the gm maft sensor ?

Those are the map sensors. You will want a minimum of a 3 bar.
You can't remove the iat from the the gm unit. You're going to need to buy it from a parts store. You can get the pig tail for the map sensor off of a Pontiac bonnivile that has the supercharged motor. That sensor is on the back of the blower, but you don't want the sensor, it's a 2 bar sensor. You just want the plug and wires.

so I gathered all the sensors needed. am I just hacking into the oem maft plug? or do I really have to run all the way to the ecu? is there a vfaq? I searched and found different info. I have a 96 gsx. the info I did find, did no match my color scheme on my harness :/
