Alright, so I' m getting a tru-boost, but I already have an AEM 5 bar MAP sensor for use with my AEM ecu. I assume I can use this for the tru-boost also, but am not sure? If I can, is it possible to buy the pigtail for the 3 pin plug on the back of the tru-boost in order to run the wires to the MAP?

Thanks in advance,
-Aaron

From my understanding(and if I understand what your asking right) your not going to want to use the signal output from the gauge as there is a huge delay that would cause a lot of issues. IIRC there also is more then a few MAPs as well that they use, you have to take into consideration as part of that as well.

Sorry to bring back the thread a bit but do you happen to know the pinout of the 3 pin plug on the back of the tru-boost. From all pictures I have seen it seems that its wired like such |_Black_|_Green_|_Red_| when looking from the wire side of the connector. I want to be sure though can anyone chime in on this.

If u go to aem's site and the forums, they have schematics and pinout diagrams u can view.

Yea but they don't have the pinout for that particular connector. They want you to spend the $170 on the harness and sensor upgrade. I figured it out though. The pinout is as I stated in the earlier post. If your using the 5 bar on your ecu just tape the signal wire to the center pin and leave the other two disconnected. :thumb:

Yep, you're correct. Also, if anybody is looking for a 3 pin connector that fits, most PC fan extensions are a perfect fit. Just google '3 pin pc fan extension' or look on ebay, they're everywhere.

Looks like this:

I'm thinking about doing this also. I am running a tru boost controller and I'm also running speed density. So your saying that I can use the 5 bar map sensor to my ecu and tap the signal wire to ecu with the input wire to the gauge and not cause any issues? Saving me from spending another hundred some odd dollars on using 2 separate map sensors?
