Here's the dyno sheet boost @ 31psi Jmf. Seems that everything is on par for a nice comparison once I get the fuel upgraded so that a fair overlay can be posted. You may notice there's no shortage of down low power! fuel got as lean as .93 lamda and totally collapse around 7000rpm. loosing my tach signal around peak torque gives the appearance that the manifold made less torque than cyclone but to my surprise both manifolds was on par same power different boost levels jmf 3psi of boost less.
Well I found out that on this run my negative battery terminal was not tight which explains the missing area of the dyno graph. I recently fixed the issue but still need to get some more fuel where its needed. stay tuned.

What was the voltage on the dyno pull?
can't remember but yeah I went over everything after our conversation and holy holy found the bad gound. I am still a little shy on the the fuel needed but I have a fix coming next week:cool:

i noticed a 6lb a min gain at same boost from going from a magnus street to a jmf race. i love my jmf so much better built than a magnus smim.

Man I feel as if I committed adultery or something I was just so faithful to the cyclone and if you read some of my past post you would think that me and the cyclone was a match made in heaven! but the jmf street is my new love. the quality is unreal. I have fuel upgrades coming next week, its going to be interesting. After I dyno with the fuel upgrade. I will install these new bc276 and see what they are all about! I was told I will be impressed I guess we will have to see. I can't see departing with my bc272s!

Yeah ive been keeping up with your posts. Yeah ive had bc 272s for a while now and I only got them because they were cheap. I loved the top end gains and didn't loose much low end, like my comp 200's. I still don't see spending 500+ on a set of kelfords or gsc. They may not be the best but they are a good all around and street cam.

Why didn't you just go ahead and say it they have the best powerband of any of the top cams on the market, for the daily driver that is. Do you have cam gears and if so what are your settings on the bc272. I have mine set on exhaust 0 intake 8 degrees retard.

I went from an HTA3586 + FP4R cams + JMF Race smim and built motor power is very similar to my current setup of an HX40 + stock cams + Magnus V3 cast intake on a stock motor. It basically feels like the same setup. I have no intentions of getting cams, as it spools good and power doesn't fall off up top. I feel the Magnus Cast intake manifold is badass! I run meth injection, and I love knowing that the air/meth is being distributed evenly into each running. There is less than a 1% difference between runners, which is exactly what you want.

i was going to go cast magnus but i couldnt justify 500 more for possible 20 more hp. i just converted my hx40 .55 to t3 and noticed 8lbs gain at same boost. yeah im running a cheap ebay manifold, but after reinforcing most collector welds and adding a support its still good 15k later. according to dsmlink im seeing 54lbs and 532hp @30lbs of boost with jmf race and bc272s

2deep thanks for you input on this discussion. These are the type of post that is invaluable, real life experience and not just hearsay! I wasn't going to get any cams either because the bc272s are more than any street car needs IMO. I declined bc offer to test the new 276s but after much persuasion I gave in can't wait to see the results!

I would love to see a kelford 272 make over 500lbs of torque at 4800lbs this makes a cam street friendly Imo.Not to mention the power band is just plain awesome.

Okay after much research I have decided that I will go the boost a pump route to satisfy my fuel needs. I ordered the kenne belle boost a pump 40amp unit and will be installing it next week. My thinking is if boost a pump can turn a stock pump into a beast it will certainly turn a walbro 450 into a complete insane monster pump. I spoke with kenne belle tech's at great length this week and asked the one question all of us would ask "will this kill my walbro 450" the short answer was "it will not kill it but prolonge the life of the 450 or any pump" I reasoned okay I will give it a try. more information can be found here alone with questions answered.

The theory is sound. It SHOULD do the trick, Kel. Man, you still dont have that awd itch yet? If you're car hooked up right now it might shear an axle dude LOL. Its a beast alright.
You're dyno is seriously making me reconsider my plans to turn my Crower 272s in to K272s. I mean, you're making the kind of power id be more than happy with. On bc272s no less. Crower 272s are a little more top end from what i have *HEARD*.
Sweating my nuts off out in the garage about to put the engine up on the stand...... hate this car right now!
Anyway, anxiously awaiting the BAP results. You should be able to tell from link log on a healthy 3rd gear pull if the BAP did its job. Just see if you're able to hold the target afr and run more boost right? That'd tell ya. The dyno would just prove it. I'm rootin for ya bud!

Oh, are you planning on a high output alternator? Is it necessary?

Thanks. trying to behave on this beautiful new forum. yeah I had the awd itch a couple weeks ago and decided to stay FWD. I will keep things updated the boost a pump should be here Tuesday I will have to find time next weekend to get it installed everyone at the dyno is anxiously awaiting my return. So far they are impressed with what I have accomplished and so am I. My unorthodox style is none the less "impressive" so said the dyno operator!

I have learned big turbos mated to stock cams or smallish cams is actually a pretty nice combo. put some cams in and evo 8 that was running 67mm turbo on 2.0. going from stock to hks 280 the car lost 700rpm spool. it was way more fun to drive on the stock cams.
