Only did 2 primes and block sanding, in a bit if a rush to get driving this thing, first coat of white applied, worked on the car for a long time this weekend





The car will need more work to make the paint and body perfect, but I don't have the time and money, I had a specific budget, and I have just about maxed it out, plus that gives me more stuff to do in a few months when I get my big bonuses from work.

And I can start to include the kids in the project once it's a running driving and insured project car, to those who do not know I have twin boys :clap:

As you can see in the picture below, I still have some imperfect body lines, this is what I am going to be fixing in a couple months with the kids.



Their has been a lot of time out into this shitty dsm since I got my hands in her, but Thier is a lot more time to go.

I left the engine bay red, I think I will keep it that way and do a white and red color scheme.

And the hood is clear coated bare metal.

Waiting on my Megan ez street coilovers and my new rims, then I'm going to start on the interior. For a little bit to get that up to par.

I just read this whole thread... and you are the man for this. The hood isn't my type of thing but that is next to nothing with all the work you put into that thing. You brought that thing to life. Props man. Props

Gauge lights stopped working, all the fuses and bulbs are good, I noticed my batt light and signals and tail lights and brake lights still work. Pulled the dimmer switch, totally melted down.

Checks all the wires and found the short, fixed it, shrink tubed it and went the the junk yard for a replacement, found a good one and they only charged me 5$!!!! These things are like 60$ new.

Everything fixed

Next up is installing this shitty stereo I have in the garage. Then the new door handles and locks

THe hood is an interesting touch, nonetheless your progress is great. The spoilerless look is my favorite. Do you plan on doing anything else mechanically?

Go the stereo working pretty well

I found one on ebay for 20$ this morning, bummer...

And yes, wire tuck, flow master exhaust, ebc "electronic boost control" g16 turbo, and maybe son cans down the road.

I finally got her running well, no more cut out unless I'm really pushing her super hard, and I think that's the fuel pump so I'll be going walbro and 650 injectors so solve that problem.

She really boosts up when you get to around 3200 rpm though, feels so awesome

And I really dig the hood, it's different and kind if unique.

Plus the good thing about clear coat is that if I get tired of it them just give it a sand and then prime and paint. Done

Megan fully adjustable coilovers, are my next big item aside from rims

Eventually I want to do a gsx conversion. To go from gs to gsx is pretty cool

Still waiting on parts, coilovers and rims, hopefully they will arrive soon.

I'll be registering the car on Monday, and I'll start driving it the following week after a base tune and a lv ride tune with the new coilovers, I'm going to drop her pretty low so I'll need a alignment and two adjustment also.

So close.

I don't think the rims I want will fit right.

Str rims 18x8.5 offset 33

Does anyone know if these will fit and stance correctly?

I have installed evo x rims at 18X8.5 with a +38 offset. The STR are going to be 5mm closer to the quarter panel. Depending on ride height and tire size, they may fit with no rolling. Otherwise you may need some fender work. This is my opinion, which isn't always the best; maybe somebody else can chime in.
