Look up Engnbldr on ebay. Has a good set of ss valves for 4g63

I agree that you would benefit from a good set of aftermarket valves but I doubt you will find a full set for ~150. The link you posted was for the exhaust side only. If your power goals are ~500whp I would say go back to the oem valve.

oh yeah I didn't notice the bc's were just exhaust hah, thought it was too good of a deal from what I remembered.

noone knows anything about RSLLC?

what is the difference in sizes? I know intake exhuast, but I'm actually finding different valve sizes over that say std.

3438EPN 1.201 x 6.5mm x 4.319 4G63 $60.00
3439EPN 1.339 x 6.5mm x 4.317 4G63 $60.00

8 EXHAUST VALVES
Stem Diameter: 7.00 mm
Head Diameter: 1.199"
Valve Length: 4.319"
Stem Diameter: 0.2567"
Notes:

8 INTAKE VALVES
Stem Diameter: 7.00 mm
Head Diameter: 1.335"
Valve Length: 4.319"
Stem Diameter: 0.2589"

and like these say high performance and a different size

vs these

but same part numbers, different sizes?

Heres another oem equiv set for $94 and they are in oregon same day shipping I would get quickly

I can meet or beat any prices. We have access to the same parts as engnbldr and BC from the source. BC's valves are made by a company called SI. We used to use them in most of our builds but got away from them when the design changed and killed their flow. The back angle, margin, undercut and shape of the back side all changed for the worse. These are also the same valves MAP sells under their own name. We still sell them from time to time if that's what you are looking for but there are other alternatives as well.

I emailed you for a quote and never heard back?

I think i will just get the oem ones from oregon in my state, need them quickly now.

I wouldn't get those. They look like the two piece design that BogusSVO doesn't recommend running in a forced induction car. I personally recommend the Engnbldr valves. You can't beat $115 for 1 piece SS undercut valves! They are very nice. I've used two sets now. A buddy of mine got a set of Topline valves that cost more and were not a good design for maximizing head flow and they look similar to the valves in that link if they are just the standard valves.

ENGNBLDR doesnt have stock ssize valves listed only 1mm oversize

the machine shop would have to change out seats right? or they just cut them?

LOL he has the 16 set listed for $125 but then the intake and exhaust separately for $55 each

I just talked to my machinist and he wigged out a bit when asking him to cut the seats 1mm oversize but he said they can do it no problem and its the same process as the valve grind I was getting anyway. He just wanted me to know that if for some reason the motor didn't work it was not their fault LOL.

Your machine shop should be able to cut 1mm OS valves into stock seats. That's how my cylinder head is. Email Engnbldr and see if he has any std size in stock or when they're coming in if you'd rather have those...depending on how they cut the seats and how the valves end up sitting in the head they might have to adjust the valve tip height. That's a pretty crucial measurement for keeping the valvetrain geometry correct.

Yeah thats what he was talking about the stem length. When I had a valve grind and some custom work done on a bmw head by a different machinist he knew about all that. I think this place should be able to all ok.

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't you only gain performance-wise with 1mm os valves if your head is ported? Doesn't 1mm os valves in a stock head actually hurt performance?

Negative. The only time you lose flow with a larger valve is if the seats aren't cut properly. OS valves on a stock seat will hurt flow but if the seats are enlarged and machined for the proper angles then it will pick up performance.

Just FYI, a "valve grind" is not the same thing as cutting the seats for oversize valves.

They told me when the grind the valves they cut the seats to match, so they will just be setting the machine to cut the the seats bigger for the bigger valves and no more work on their part.

So I talked to tod with engnbldr and those last set of valves I posted were the very last set in stock! Crap!

Then I got this response when asked when restocked....

"Hi.

I actually didn't plan on restocking those, I am 71 now and trying to cut back. We did restock certain numbers that are very fast sellers, that part number was slowing down for us.
Sorry to dissapoint.
Thanks,
Ted"

So it sounds like there will be no more 4g63 ENGNBLDR valves.....
I missed it by 1 day F.

I'm thinking about trying the RSLLC

these sound very similar, $145

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PERFORMANCE...iter_Display:2.0L&hash=item27c2e1e2a9&vxp=mtr

another reply after saying thats disappointing.

"I could have more made if the demand is high enough, I price very low so margins are thin, about 11% is all. . The problem is the plant is in Argentina and it takes me 4-6 months to get resupply, plus a minimum run to $50K in mixed part numbers.

I am an old time drag racer, (1969 Winternationals D/D class champion) so I have had about everything in my hands at one time or another in the last 50 years of building engines..
So, I know a good part when I see it, and the only way to get what I wanted to supply was to have them made. The only thing higher tech would be Inconel.
Plus I designed the head template since most of these engines are boosted, and specified an alloy that will take that 30# and more of heat.
Simple really, just no shortcuts.
Oddly, sales were slowing but suddenly I am getting email requests, so maybe I will add them to the next run.
Thanks for the interest,
Ted(engnbldr)"

Here is the response from running strong llc when I asked about the construction and quality of their valves, they replied within hours too.

"they are 214N material ,1 piece construction and swirl polished with chrome stems"

$140 shipped, I am going with them.

This is off a report explaining different valves and compounds, mos of you probably know this but I'm am still researching stuff and like long detailed tech reports LOL.

"21-4N is usually considered to be the premium material for performance exhaust valves. 21-4N steel also meets the “EV8” Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specification for exhaust valves."
