Had to put the car on hold for all of last year. Had some personal things going on. I had some issues with arp flywheel bolts that put a setback on the car. Hopefully soon i'll have it running again, trying to close on a house at the moment.

Back from the dead build update. Finally closed on house and got back to working on the car. The issue I had last was the arp flywheel bolts being too long and bottomed out in the eagle crank. Ran flawlessly for almost 200 miles then started to rattle like the throwout bearing was going out. I torqued them down and flywheel was secure, but i guess they were the exactly length of the crank hole. Ended up cause a major problem flywheel got loose and started rattling, had to pull everything out. Ended up scrapping that crank, sold the rods and pistons. Still have the block for sale though. I called MAP up and ordered a stage 2 2.4l short block from them with their upgraded rods and a set of wiseco pistons. I have the engine/trans back in the car with a quartermaster twin disc designed by Tim at TMZ. I should have the engine running hopefully this weekend. I ordered a set of JDM galant knuckles so i can run the evo 8 brakes without brackets, the knuckles will be here tomorrow. DBA rotors, arp extended wheel studs, Ferodo 2500 pads on all 4 corners, also went ahead and had stock baffles cut out of the valve cover and new ones welded in, screw on pro works cap as well, big thanks to Justin at Detective coating. Front wheels had to use a spacer of 3mm to clear the caliper, I did have the brackets to use the brakes but decided to go ahead and replace them with the jdm knuckles. Also upgraded to the 3g brake master/booster. I'll get some new pics up here in a bit. Upgraded to some enkei wheels 17x8 and put some meat on them in the form of Michelin AS Plus 255/45/17.

Knuckles showed up today, hope to have it back on the road maybe this weekend if I don't have to work.

Looks like I'm going to have to work all weekend so may not get it done. Have to put on the knuckles, bleed brakes, and add fluid to tranny and transfer case.

Thanks for all the compliments. It's in need of a paint job, but gotta get rest sorted out first. Guess the worse it looks outside the more sleeper it is to those that don't know what's under the hood.

Looks like this weekend should be the one, I have some days off and family out of town.

Got car running but shifter cable broke on me so haven't had the time to drive it and the alt isn't putting out very well, gonna add a ground wire to the case to see if this helps, otherwise I'll be ordering one of the 170amp alt for it. Can't get it to idle but i think this is in part due to the lack of voltage the alt is putting out.

Sorry to hear about your G4CS. I've still got the one I built in '03 purring happily in mine. There's no replacement for boost displacement.

I still have the g4cs block with no damage that i'll keep for standby but just decided to build another 2.4l block. Found out i put the wrong alternator on the car which is why it's not putting out, just swapped it out and with the new one works fine, just need my shifter cables so i can drive this thing.

Thought i'd post some new updates. I have almost 4000 miles on the car. I have my pump gas tune pretty dialed in. No dyno numbers yet but i think i should be very close to the 500awhp goal i set on pump. It's showing 53lb/min so hopefully it will be close to 500awhp. This is on 23psi. I have a weak 110octane tune that is showing over 60lb/min at 30 psi. I haven't played with cam timing yet, the gsc 280 cams at 0 the car sees 30psi at 5500rpm, I think i can get it a little sooner with some cam timing changes. Also need to put a stiffer spring in the wastegate as 30 is all it will let me do on the 7psi spring that's in there. Installing some new adjustable rear toe arms so i can fix some alignment issues, pauls arms are killer quality. I have everything to go sd, so i should be working on that shortly so I can get set up to use the gm ethanol sensor as now e85 has shown up in my town so will be nice to save some money on it instead of $8 gallon 110 i put in it when i want to play around. 110 price is the main reason i don't have the 30psi tune dialed in better, it needs more timing but the rest is pretty close.
