My s90 throttle body has an ear piercing whistle when idling , I assumed it was the air going around the throttle blade but I'm not sure anymore. Does anybody else's do this ?

Solution
I did manage tl fix my awful screech, it was how It came set up. I adjusted the biss screw and the idle adjuster together so now it still idles the same just without the ear piercing screech.
Do a boost leak test and see if its coming from anywhere else. It could also be shaft seals. Hope i gave you something else to think about and you can solve your problem.

I've has small pinhole leaks that made a pretty loud whistle, so if your shaft seals are leaking, it very well could be the shaft seals.

Yes those shaft seals could cause a whistle think about it, how does it work when you whistle? You force air out of a small opening, When you get a flat and the air is leaking out of the tire you can hear it whistle. When u manage to get a hole in a balloon with out it popping the air whistles out.

My 70mm S90 whistles a little, but only at about 5% throttle. It's clearly not a boost leak. I suspect it's just the design of the inlet for the FIAV and IAC. Since i'm running an external IACS, this is all blocked off. I'm certain that the turbulence just before the throttle plate is causing the "whistle". It's not too loud, but it is a little annoying. I intend to take the die grinder to the sharp edges of that port in front of the throttle plate and see if i can't make it stop.

Since you said it was only when I idleing, does it idle okay or do the rpms jump every so often, or idle higher then normal
