Ok, did some more research. These brackets will work with either but with the larger evo X rotor it won't clear my wheel, so will keep hunting for the evo 8/9 calipers.

I have a question about Brembo Calipers on the rear of a 1g. I know the ebrake cable doesn't work because the ebrake is in the caliper and not drum. I know the rear brembo is a direct bolt on. I have auto so not having the ebrake wouldn't be a huge deal. I was curious on the rotors. If I bolt the brembo calipers on do the stock rotors work or do I have to buy the evo rotors? Will the evo rotors work since there designed with the drum ebrake cable? I know i could just go buy some rotors and test fit. I was just curious if anyone else already knows.

From just now reading all 31 pages of this thread it looks as though you need to get the evo rotors. Dont quote me on that. Maybe someone else could correct me if im wrong because im planning on this swap as well. Did you mount up the fronts already on your 1g? Pictures?

Has anybody found an adapter that works for those of us running stock brake lines and the 3g mbc? I see a lot of talk about adapters that 'might' work but does anybody have a link to one that they are currently using or know to work?

You mean a M10x1.0 bubble flare male to M10x1.0 inverted flare female?

So, this is my contribution.

You have to grind a Little of the knuckle to line up the bracket with the ear.
also you are making space for the bracket, the spacer and the brembo, so everything lines up.

And i made an effort to have my machine shop mill the brembos, all they managed to do was scuff them up a bit yaiii. however since there were plenty of honduh owners taking presidence i had to resort to grinding, i don't recommend it, but if you do do it slowly and a little at a time.

What would happen if I were to install the appropriate brake booster for this upgrade early? I'm going to do an engine swap here shortly to get my new body up and running, so that would be the ideal time to get the new booster installed. However I don't really have the cash at the moment to buy the brakes and such yet.

My DSM is a 2gb GSX, and i have no need for a bigger brake booster, the brakes fell amazing and i was worried i would have to upgrade further, or even ss lines. But im happy to report my brakes do not feel spongy they feel factory except they grip like a gorilla from hell and i barely have to press the brakes during normal driving.

P.S i read some were on this mega thread that the 2gb came with a bigger booster, so that may be it!

Exactly, anybody?
That adapter will not work. You are better off getting the lines custom made like I did. I had to bring the stock fittings for the bigger MC and the stock fittings from my car and have the hose shop set me up properly using the two different types of fittings and it worked out perfectly. The thread patterns going to the bigger MC are different as well than those on the stock MC. The flare styles are obviously different too.
So I have opposite flare styles on each end of the custom lines.

Well, the old car is a 2GB and the new one is a 2GA, I suppose I could check and see if there's any difference in the booster.
This was not the case on my car 95 nor my friends 97. Both had the same exact stock booster. I went with a bigger booster anyway however I still think it is not necessary to change to the bigger booster and alot of guys have just changed to the bigger MC, left the stock booster and have been fine. I have not heard any issues with very hard brake pedals or anything as such. I think the Bigger MC with the brembos was certainly a needed upgrade. You can pm the guys who have just changed out the MC to confirm for yourself. Some guys have even put on better bigger brake callipers on their cars than the Brembos, changed the MC only, kept the stock booster. and have not had issues that I have heard of. Still check for yourself and consult with the guys who have done it this way.

JNZ Tuning have the lines for 2G ABS and 2G non-ABS. I bought them along with the 3G master cylinders for 2 of the 2Gs - one runs Evo Brembos all round, the other runs Evo rears and 3kGT fronts. I don't know if they keep them on the shelf, but they can definitely make them.

I use the original boosters that were on the cars - they work fine. One car is an early vented rear brake car, the other is a later 95 with solid rears. According to CAPS, very early cars with OPC C15 had a larger booster (8+9). The same booster part # is spec'd for all other 2G AWDs, all years.

Its not accurate. My AWD is not (8+9). It is the next size down.(7) I will take pics of it for you guys.
There are some later fwd drive cars 97 to 99 which I found out that use the same exact BB as my 95 AWD car vented rears. So while there may be some cars out there with the 8/9, I have not seen nor can I deny it exists but was not the case to my surprise with a later year dsm I saw nor my 95 awd vented rear.
But I will agree I think whatever present BB is on the car can be left alone with just changing the MC.
