so ive read through some of the posts about this and most of them are physical issues... im not really sure about mine...

while driving it will run fine.. then all the sudden it will lose spark on 2 cyls... not 100% sure which ones yet i just got home..

but the thing is... while moving, i just turn the key off and back on and its 100% perfect again... well for about 1-2 mins before it does it again...

needless to say im tired of turning my car off and on and would like to get this resolved... does anyone have any ideas? its prob something really simple and stupid.. but what gets me is its not something loose or broken if i can fix it with a simple key turn...

I've had weird symptoms like this and for me it was the power transistor harness being loose. Try checking EVERY connector related to the injectors and igntion, making sure they're all seated and locking. In my case the reason was my power transistor harness was not able to lock anymore and my ultimate fix was to zip tie it into place. I've heard of putting some RTV in the harness and putting it on as well (not on the pins themselves, but in the outer gap).

Thats the thing, thats a physical problem that will not correct itself until you physically fix it. i had delt with the power transistor before it wiggled loose some.. but then it would start with 2-3 off and run with 2-3 off... didnt matter what i did. until i fixed the problem it was there....

no this time.. it seems more electronic, or ecu related..

Good for you, but I've had the opposite where symptoms were intermittent from the loose harness. Might not want to discount experiences of others so quickly.

Not even close. That's why the word "intermittent" exists. It's completely possible that it's just loose connectors or shitty wiring causeint your issue.

Dropping 2 cylinders indicates a coil or transistor going bad. If you can swap coils or transistors with a known good set and the problem goes away, you've found the culprit.

Would the transistor getting hot cause it to drop 2 cyls? And the momentary key off allows it to cool down enough to work for a few more mins?

That's the thing, it's not intermittent. It does not just come and go. It will drop 2, I let off the gas and coast, flip the ignition off and back on, problem solved. That's a controlled situation. An intermittent loose wire or connector shouldn't fix itself by turning the key. And the engine does not jerk either.. Because its already on fuel cut. That's why this is all so puzzling for me. I'll take a video of it.

Had the exact same problem. Exact same fix. Everything the same.
I wonder what happened too, 2 yrs later LOL. Probably got out of dsms....

I had loose ptu wiring. That wasnt it though. I ended up replacing the coil pack and that did it.
