Kelvin something I've learned here also is people who have never broke out of the 13s will act as if they are kings and nothing you do or build whether its a 9, 10 second or a 700hp street car will match them.

Yeah I know it gets hard sometimes here trying to determine good questions from sarcastic ones LOL:sosad:

I can't remember off hand, but didn't you used to or still have a 2.4 in that car?

Na I have always been 2.0 with a small cam. The gsc2 will definitely be better suited for the jmf street when that time comes;) thanks for asking!

Ah okay. I swear there was someone making killer power/torque with a 2.4 and a Cyclone...might be getting it confused though. I've been debating going with the GSC S2s on my long-rod 2.4, and was curious if it was "enough" cam for it. So I was going to be very interested in your progress with them.

Well good or bad you can certainly expect keltalon to post about his experience with them that's for sure! Lol...

Transmission is holding up quite nicely!

So are you saying you havent broken a trans yet? from my experience once over 500tq the AWD trans do not last very long. I broke four transmissions, each lasting about 2500 miles. always on street tires. I figured anything stickier would be even harder on transmissions. honestly the trasmission issue was pretty much why I lost interest in the car. every time i do a pull in forth you wonder if the trans will let go. not much fun really. I like diving cars, not spending time fixing them.

from your videos posted it lookd like you arent putting much power to the wheels on the road. just lots of wheel spin. maybe that makes the trans servive? IE spin rather than hook and break?

I know that. and my point is AWD trans are even stronger than FWD. so how is it he is not breaking transmissions every week?

Awd and fwd gears are pretty much the same size. It is the the 1.5l and 1.8l gears that "look" weaker. I think it is the wheel spin that is keeping the tranny from breaking. I know the 3/4 gears sleeve will grenade on Awd if you punch it hard even on street tire. I think Kelton's tranny is on borrowed time. That is a lot of tq it is holding up to.

from having built about 100 dsm transmissions I can say the fwd trans are weaker. especially 2nd gear is really weak. had one customer that broke second three times. I am anxious to hear how long the shot peened trans lasts comparred to the other broken three.

A U T O M A T I C....

Then again, hes happy( i think?) with it as a street car so probably isnt looking to hook up and run fast 1/4s or anything. Id go auto if you ever want to put that power to the ground. Itd be one FAST fwd and you wouldnt be breaking shit.

With 21 dyno pulls and much daily street abuse we will have to see just how much time was borrowed. I think the ati damper is the key to longevity just my $.02

I don't know who feel the power isn't getting to the ground . True the car spins but it's fast as heck in fact a little too fast in my book. Lol a true street car with race car power.
