My power locks locks and unlocks back and forth for a while before they stop. I changed both driver side and passenger side actuators and still same problem. I noticed some wires inside the door cut today and wonder what they went to? Here is pics of where they're located (inside door running to the fuse area) and where they run to. Need help on where to go next.

Is anything else malfunctioning? If you hold the lock lever in locked/unlocked position do they still try moving? Is anything missing from the door? Should have mirror adjuster, a window motor (if driver's door), a door lock module, and a speaker. Almost looks like someone have tried to delete something but did not bother removing the wires. Saying 'delete' because the wires do look stock, where if one was adding something he/she would most likely use different wiring.

Until the problem is solved, just unplug the actuators. You'd have to manually unlock the doors, but at least you will be able to lock the car and not worry about it unlocking itself.

Here's wiring diagram for entire lock system, hopefully that will help figure out what's wrong:

Edit: IIRC the door lock control unit is located under the motor that moves seatbelt clip on driver's side.

The thing that moves the mirror isn't working. Everything else is fine. If I hold the lock in place the other side just keeps going back and forth. It eventually stops on its own, but I can reach over and do it myself to make it stop. What does the door lock module look like?

The module is a small gray box about the size of pack of cigarettes.

Just so you know what fixed my issue: Had to take apart passenger side actuator (after figuring out that it was causing the problem) and noticed that a small weight inside bounces every time the actuator moves. That bouncing was causing that actuator to actuate. Bent a small link inside so it would rub against the case and prevent this bouncing. Worked fine after that until entire system was removed few months later. Probably won't help you since you have replaced the actuators, but on the other hand ones you put in might be warn out too, unless they are new.

Id like to replace that module and relay since I can get them from a junk yard cheap before I try to track down a wiring problem. Is there a module on drive and passanger side and I didn't see that module inside the door. Oh I see where so said is located.

Well I tried door lock relay, door control module and both actuators all one by one and problem still exist. I also checked some 1gs at the junkyard and that wire in the pics wasn't there. I also checked by the fuse box to see if those wires were there and didn't see any so I still have no clue there. Maybe someone tried to add something. What next?

So you have disconnected actuators one at a time and other one keeps locking-unlocking?

Also, have miss-informed you about the location of the module (not meaning to, obviously). So to make up for it here is what DSM Tech manual has to say about power door locks. Save the image and look at it up close, should be able to read everything.

Had you checked the lock switch itself? If I remember right these operate on a negative impulse. So if the switch is worn out, maybe it grounding itself out...?

Yes, I found the module on the passenger side kick panel(got lucky the panels were missing at the junkyard) and yes I disconnected the actuators one at a time. Thanks for the manual tho.

Thats something I haven't checked. Is that something my car has tho, because there is no button to push to lock them, you manual lock the driver and the passenger locks also.
