Gotta say, communication with Levi is top notch. He answered all my questions quickly and accurately, and shipped my product in a timely manner. Great guy to do business with.

Finally got around to installing mine, here's a pic. I scuffed it up a little bit messing with the wires. I made a tutorial vid too, I'll post that later.

Levi will have to custom make you one. He basically adds a slit then sews a seem to prevent fraying. Very top notch and easy to install. I chose to install mine with bolts and nuts instead of using wire or ties. This is with hafe manifold. I'll try to snap a car finished pic later. (was in middle of 6 bolt swap)

Is this blanket more effective than a ceramic coating? I know FFWD will double coat an FP manifold for around the same price.

I'd imagine its much more efficient at keeping heat it then ceramic coating. I have a ceramic coated exhaust manifold and there is no chance you could touch it after running but another member says he can touch his blanket.

Has anyone ordered or used the turbine housing sock?

Turbo Performance, do you have any pics of this installed on an FP 8cm housing? I am curios how it looks and functions.

Unfortunately I don't have any installed pics. I have a handful of them out there at discounted prices but haven't received feedback/pictures yet. I'll see if I can get on that and post them soon.

edged1g nailed it. You can run the blankets about as hard as you want and still be able to touch them without getting burned. I honestly haven't ran across a ceramic coating that will come close in heat retention yet.

Don't mean to revive an old thread but I figured it best to ask my question here. I have an fp mani that is already ceramic coated.
Would there be any harm in putting this blanket on the coated manifold? Or would it just help with even lower temps?

Its gonna help a ton with temps, I dont see why it would hurt if you put it on a ceramic fp mani .....its a cast piece thats pretty tough

Great product really helps with underhood temps

I just cut a lil slit for the egt

It won't hurt, plenty of customers have ceramic coated then installed blankets. The ceramic coating just adds another layer of heat retention basically.

Makes me very happy to hear everyone is pleased with the way these look and perform. If anyone has questions or an issue with a blanket just give me a shout.

Can you still install a heat shield over the top? I have a nice stainless shield that my friend just made me and prefer the look over the blanket.

If the one your friend made was for a stock manifold I would doubt that it will fit over a fp mani. There used to be a vendor that made one but it was more complicated than just a couple of bolts to the manifold. It had a bracket or something that went with it

I have an aftermarket factory type cast manifold but i'm pretty sure I read somewhere in this thread that these blankets fit those too?

With the Holset, I had a blanket on the manifold and the hotside and saw intake temps around 70* during the hotter days. The 1G has neither at the moment and I see IAT's of 150* with ambient temps around 8*C.

Actually you do NOT want to do both. You will compromise the integrity of your fp race manifold. Dont coat and wrap. Maybe the Fp rep could chime in on this to confirm this, but Im pretty sure that is a no no.

And I own one of these blanket and I also have an fp manifold and let me tell you this thing is bad ass. I Can launch this car hard as hell, get out pop the hood and stick my hand on it all day making 20 dollar bets. This thing is like a fireman suit.

But I Want a whole setup ONESIE turbine and 02 housing.

And Im dying to see some pics of that sock install. Where the pics guys?

And I believe I got a shot turbo o2 housing laying around that I could send you so you could fab something up for the guys here. I know it will sell for a fact.

I have a GodSpeed Performance T3/T4 manifold with the wastegate on the manifold. Is there a blanket for my setup?

Your god speed manifold will cracj guarinteed. But guy above could make one?

If it doesnt work out alot of people use DEI heat wrap.

I'm calling it now though, itll crack weather you wrap/coat it or not. Good luck.
