I think your well on the way to be making a bit more than 300. You might want to goto that 255hp. The 190's are kinda weak suck IMHO. Back in the day I did on my car so I could keep the stock fpr. I run 2 255hp's now into a stock regulator and it's fine. I'm pretty sure it won't be long and you'll get talked into E85, and it will make 400+whp LOLoLOL.

That i couldnt tell you, i dont have emissions, but theres only one way to find out LOL

Reading the link looks like they might not even be able to scan.

Yea if you have the comm lock on the only thing able to connect to the ecu will be ecmlink. But I saw somewhere that somebody passed emissions by checking ecmlink not to do the egr, evap tests.

Already got a 255 :thumb: And I wouldn't even think twice about going e85 if there were more stations around me. I just hate the fact that I would have to plan out were to get gas.

ehh it's not an end of the world situation. Keep the tune a bit conservative, and put some 93 in it if you can't find any. It does kind suck planning ahead. But I don't mine taking my car on a 15mi joy ride to get some fuel. I take 2 5gal jerry cans with and fill them too. I have to go about once a week.

I wish dsmlink would/could add flex fuel support. There are guys here who do dual map ecu flashes, so I'm sure there would be a way to interpolate between the maps. I won't use e85. My buddy owns a few BP's and has given me the low down. St. Louis is a major hub for petrol transport. Because of this we have some of the cheapest average fuel prices around, and we have 93, 100, ethanol available because of our location. But because of our location, we also have the worst variances in gasoline quality. Especially with the ethanol apparently. So it very common for our e85 to be a very bad mixture. I don't want to risk my engine. If I had proefi or some other fancy ecu with flex fuel capability I'd run ethanol.

ECMLink is not very far behind

Has anyone degree'd camshafts with the engine in the car? Also done valve springs with the head still on? I know both will probably be a pain, but just wondering what degree wheel you used and/or valve spring compressor tool. Also any tricks.

Yea I just saw that. This elevates dsmlink to a new level in my book. It actually put a big smile on my face. I saw that they releases aem infinity 4 for like $1400 and I was thinking if they weren't charging $4-500 bucks for a non terminated harness or including it in that price thy I was maybe gonna switch to that. But now that link has flex fuel support, im sticking with link.

Been making some slight progress. Moved the car to the spare garage, started getting the engine torn apart to do some head work and the cams. Realized the previous owner used a dayco belt, and also my tensioner looks wet. Even though this stuff has less than 5k on it I'm going to play it safe and get a new OEM timing belt and tensioner. Figured while I'm there I might as well pull the head to make the head work easier. That will also get an OEM composite head gasket, because I also don't know what gasket previous owner used.

So here is the plan of attack

New headgasket
New timing belt and tensioner
New balance belt
(Most of the other timing components are fairly new)
ARP Head studs

Fp2 Cams
AEM Cam Gears
BC Springs & Retainers
3g Lifters
(Again most of all the seals and stuff have less than 5k on them)

Also would like to do the oil pan gasket because its starting to leak.
Removed the AC
Removed Emissions

Evo 3 Intake Manifold
Rebuilt 1g Throttle Body

Walbro 255
FIC 850cc
Magnus Fuel Rail
Aeromotive FPR
Earls Stainless Fuel Line & Fittings

Evo III 16g
Tial MVS Wastegate
Tial 50mm BOV
ECMLink V3 Speed Density Setup
Mishimoto Radiator & Fans
FP Intake
FP Exhaust Manifold
3" Turbo back
Punishment Racing FMIC
Prothane Motor Mounts
AEM Boost
AEM Oil Pressure
AEM UEGO WideBand

Basic Plan is to get all the motor and head work done, drive the car for a bit still on the 14b to make sure everything is good.(Hoping the cams will be mild enough not to need a tune yet) Then in a couple months put the 16g on with the tial wastegate setup and convert to speed density. Then get a tune.

Also will be picking up a set of wheels with some of my tax return

First off let me say I love your car and what you're doing with it. Its very clean and should be pretty fun on the streets but have you ever thought of a build thread? It seems to me like you have everything pretty well planned out and are now just keeping us updated.
