I have a 6262 63ar in a mitsu housing. bought a punishment racing o2 houring vented to atmosphere with a tial 38mm mvs an a 3inch exhaust.
We put a 10lb spring in the car it goes to 17lbs. Put a 17lb spring in it goes to 31 34lbs.
I have the top open the other 3 ports blocked off an the bottom one running my boost.
I checked to make sure the wastegate worked off the car an it did.

May not be the fault of the gate as much as the fault of the housing....was the wastegate hole ported after the flapper had been removed? You're limited to the size of the hole in the housing- so if it's 32mm, doesn't matter if you're using a 60mm gate you're going to have creep issues.

No I bought it externally gated. Are you saying I should port the hole to have a 38mm hole. I have no idea what size the hole is from pte.

Pte says you cannot port it, because it will stress crack. The machine shop told me the same thing. That's what made me call Pte. I am not trying to over rule what your are saying just going off of what I was told. Whats your opinion. after there thoughts still port it?

Should I try a larger spring
