I just found out the block in my car is a g4cp block would it be better to just buy a 4g63 complete engine and build it or build the g4cp?

bone stock its decent I guess but I was trying to build one up to maybe 300-400 hp you know bigger turbo fmic, fuel system, exhaust, the works

Depending on the internals, you can make it happen. If its been swapped with actually 4g63 parts then boost up! Otherwise if its stock hyundai internals then I wouldn't do it.
You can pull the oil pan and look to see what rods you have going on there. If you got some nice friends with a bore scope then you can see if there's id markings on the pistons.

well I shouldn't say bone stock cause from what ive read those engines didn't come turbo'd and this one has a turbo

also im pretty sure they just swapped the whole engine in. no part swaps

I would take numerous pictures of everything in your engine bay. Then take the oil pan off. Make another scrap book of it and post all of em on here so someone with a lot more knowledge on the hyundai internals can chime in.
How did you find out it was a g4cs?

its a g4cp and its on the engine identification number stamp spot G4CP. im kinda sad cause I was told this car had a 6 bolt 4g63 in it when I bought it and now im having nothing but problems with it :notgood:

I mean the engine is almost identical loking to the 4g63 which is what threw me off
