Salesman bastard.

Thanks though seriously, I'm going to HF to get that table anyways, might as well get this!

Although it would not hurt anything, it is not something you need to go buy either. I rarely run into moisture in an argon tank (use about 2 330 CF tanks a week) and if you happen to have that as a recurring issue, I'd say you are overdue for finding a different argon supplier.

^ agree

Welding supply stores can vary big time in price to re fill cylinders.
When I am working in my home town most of the contractors have a deal to only but supply's and gas from Mathis Tri Gas. I have never had bad results.

Now as a walk off the street consumer, the same supply house try's to bend me over a barrel for a refill. $75 for an argon refill

There is another LWS that will fill my bottle for $37. Buttttttt although they are cheaper I find that my stainless and few reactive alloys will get more heat tint on the welds. Now I don't know if I am a million percent right but I have back to back achieved worst results with this "cheaper" argon.

So I pay the higher price and feel a little more secure that it is pure, clean, dry argon.

Do you guys actually have your bottles refilled? Over here where I work the bottles are just exchanged. Pay for the refill and it's just a bottle exchange whether you own the bottle or rent it.

Welded a bung onto my intake pipe for the catch can outlet.. Turned out pretty well since it was my first ever attempt at aluminum. Too bad I accidentally bought a -6 bung and welded it up then realized I needed a -8.. fml.

I saw that on the dsmtuners fb page, they are a lot more forgiving there LOL.

The way I have this piping setup, shouldn't be an issue right??

The confusing part about culinders is that different shops/people/websites all identify by a different number for capacity. I've always called my 60" a "330". But my local AirGas calls it a 300, and now I'm seeing 338 as well.

SlowSpyder - In my corner of the world, they do exchanges.

Paul I figured that, LOL. Our air gas just does exchanges regardless if you own them it not unless you specify to refill the bottle and that takes forever cause not every Airgas will refill your bottle.

Sigh.... it's mine.. I can't afford two waste gates right now and I'm replacing that housing with a larger one when I can afford it. I'm going through a divorce and I need to get my shit out of her house so.. just one cheap knock off waste gate will have to get me by for now..

At work you buy the tank and you own it. We fill them. Place down the street fills them.
Larger places you lease the tank and they exchange them.

You always want them exchanged if possible. It's always in spec. And when you fill them the gas expands and the tank is warm, when it cools the pressure drops. So if they fill it on the spot to 2k when you get home you may have 1700psi.
Something like that, I am not very good with science.

Why do you guys in Canada always gotta mess with the system LOL

Did some aluminum tonight.

Some stuff I made at work. They're parts for a chain of grocery stores , they hold up the keyboards that the cashiers use. Take a look around next time you're shopping and you might see one of the 600 that I've made.
