Nope, quickest is my 11.18 but I have in officially retired the bolt on housing. Pulled the turbo off last weekend to swap over to T3. I have to find a different manifold now though. If things don't go as planned, I may have to out it back on and try to beat my own time this year.

Our track should be opening again soon after a year long repave! Which isn't even done yet LOL that's Kauai for ya! I will be running my talon on a hx35 bep .55 housing so I'll be out to kill all your times hahaha! With my last eclipse setup i was almost in the 11's on a small 16g! Just wait till I get the holset on!! It should be a fun year out here this year! I also just got approval as (I am the president of the Kauai scca) to hold autocross events at the huge naval base here on island! We have a big enough area to hold nation style events and even plan to hold a evo driving a school before our event possible in September. Anyway I'm really looking forward to getting back behind the seat of all my mitsu's! Plan to drag and autox the gvr4, run my eclipse in autox, and my talon for drag racing!

Ditch the stock housing and never look back. :thumb: You will gain some serious power.

Sounds like a blast in HAwaii!

1G: that's the plan, but the T3 manifold I had waiting for the swap on the shelf for the last year or so ended up being for an evo, so now I'm shopping for a new manifold. Trouble is I need to sell some parts first.

I have a factory twin scroll, im kind of in the same boat as you. Manifold is expensive so this year, looks like a bolt on for me. How much power did you make on the bolt on goober?

Never dynoed on a good motor. Highest numbers I saw in the results thread were 504 awhp on a .55 a/r bolt on housing. I tell people I should somewhere in the high 400s to low 500s based on that.

Thats really good power. I ran one a few years ago and was getting around 30psi out of it on pump gas on a 6 bolt. My friend is detering me away from it because of how knock happy the .55 bolt on housing is. Are you making your power on pump or race gas? It seems like some hx35s run really well in a bolt on housing but most end up around 350-400 on pump which isnt bad at all. I really liked the spool up on the 8 blade I had.

I don't have actual dyno numbers of my car, but I saw multiple 7 blade HX35s like mine dyno 450-500hp and I assumed that since mine was faster with lots of improvement available in driving, then mine should be fairly close.
I have run e85 and this year I'll be running C16 again.

What do you think you were making on pump or didnt you run that because of e85 availability?

Thinking about chasing this. I made 483hp and 463tq with the bolt-on and the car wasn't running as good as the last day of tuning due to some heating issues at the dyno. There is more left in it now as it sits, but I'm going to get my cam gears put on and mess with timing since I dropped the cams in stright up. I also maxed my injectors so bigger one will also be needed soon or later. This is using the 52mm Hx-35.

There was so much left for improvement on my bolt on hx35 set up, but after 2-3 years of running that i upgraded to a 58mm HX40 with a T3 bep housing. I have sold my old hx35 and bep housing so the title is up for grabs haha.
Tonight im test fitting a down pipe my buddy has been customizing to work with my new t3 parts on my car and i hope the final mock up fits good. I ended up finding a t3 punishment manifold and cant wait to race my car on a new higher flowing set up. My first time out will be march 30th for import face off and for that race i will only be on pump gas. My plans are to race on C16 in the future when i can afford it at $18/gal! Wish me luck

without trying to sound like a jerk, if you guys are making 450-500awhp all you need to do to hit 10's is drive better. seriously tho, I dynoed 404/398 in 3115lb 1g including driver and ran 10's. practice makes perfect, practice launches and shifting, quite a few of you have more than enough power to dip into the 10's.

Agreed. I ran a 10.8x @ 125mph years ago on the hx35 bolt-on bep housing, but it was a gutted track car.

I'm well aware. Like went 11.1 with a crap 1.8 sixty foot.
With my 130mph traps my car was good for practically mid tens with my race weight. I didn't have that many passes on my Bolt on hx35 before retiring it.

Im gonna try for high 9s low 10s on my Holset WH1C, I really think its doable. We will see though..

That's the problem, getting seat time. I'm not in the Holset community but the local track is so busy on their TnT nights you're lucky to get 2 passes down the track and you'll be there for 6 hours. One pass is hardly enough to make adjustments and try to get a consistant 60' for your last pass...

I usually cut my best 60' on my 3rd pass.

Forgot about this thread. Smashed the record last night, car was running good .

New hx35 bolt on record. And this was on the 8 blade

Love the thread guys. So much information . I will be trying to run low 12's in my fwd 2g. My setup isn't fully together yet but so far I have a built 98 4g64 block 8.8:1, 87mm wiseco\eagle, crower 264 cams. I have a 7 blade hx35 that I plan on buying the bep housing. I also have dsm link V3 full. Help me out here do u think I can get the time I'm shooting for?
