So I got a 1g and I was doing my brakes- realized that one calper is siezed shut on the front. I had already purchased a set of front and rear roters with braks but now im thinking on upgrading to the 93-94 dual piston 2g calipers since they are direct bolt on - but I am not sure I wanna swap out my rotors just yet... SO THE QUESTION IS. Will a 2g dual piston caliper work on a 1g rotor...

your brake pads will only partially contact the rotor. Not safe at all as the pads will be cut by the rotors. Get the right rotors and finish them up.

Do not forget the http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...973-05-06-outlander-bigger-brake-upgrade.html option... bigger than 2G AWD and about the same price!

To answer your question, yes it will work, but not as good as properly fitting rotor/caliper combination. But I wouldn't do it, unless it is an emergency and I just MUST use the car.

I have seen used AWD cars with FWD rotors, done by clueless "professional mechanics". They order the parts from equally as clueless auto parts stores (which often list FWD rotors for all applications) and use what they get without thinking...

Have you guys done the outlander swap? How did it work if so? Does it require a master cylinder swap?
