Okay so I was looking on ebay for some Coilovers for my 95 tsi AWD, but Im really only trying to drop in 1.5-2 in, but Ive been noticing some springs dont fit on the AWD 2g..
My question is, Why is that? Why wont they support the awd?

Kinda a noobie question.
Thanks.

ebay special coil overs can give you a horrible ride. I went with tein springs on my 1gb

I couldn't find anybody who has ran those before, what are your goals though? Do you just want it lower? Because the only thing that those seem to have is the ability to adjust the ride height. It also makes you wonder, if a well recognized established company is putting them out for $1000 plus, what exactly you are getting?

I want a clean drop, with a big enough gap for clearance for speed bumps ect. without it rubbing, but I also want a nice and non bouncy ride.

What are you guys doing to correct the camber after you lower the car? Is there a kit or adjustable bushings?

I would suggest a spring shock combo for those needs. Look at the eibach pro kit, lowers a bit keeps clearance for speed bumps and still maintains great ride depending on your strut. 399.99 for a set of coilovers is cheap as hell to me. Most of the nice coilover kits are 1k plus. But look into a spring strut combo for your needs.

Coilovers would be overkill; A decent shock / spring combo is what you need. Cheap coilovers are garbage, there's a reason that known brands generally retail for over $1000 per set.
