Be aware that most of the megan downpipe flanges do not line up with the stock catback. So if the ebay catback is made to bolt to the stock downpipe, there is a good chance it will need cut off and rewelded.

See this, and this and most others. Not saying its a problem by any means, just some food for thought.

This is the exact setup I am currently running. I am guessing you are referring to both being the 3"? Mine fit up perfectly, only problem was the hangar near the driveshaft (mine is awd) was welded on the wrong side. It still has clearance with no hangar there and has not caused any problems since installation.

i have a megan down pipe on mine also and a ebay 3in split into duels you have to cut and weld it

I recieved my 1G GSX SRS catback yesterday, and was very displeased. It hat a 3"flange welded onto a 2.75 pipe from the catside, to right after the resonators, and then they just welded on 3" pipe from there back to the muffler. Looks like crap, and is not what I paid for. Beware!!!!!! maybe 2g is fine, but 1G GSX is shabby.

True, but next time... slot the holes in the flange! (just a few thousands go a LONG way, thanks to "SINE effect" ;)) Much easier than cutting/welding and you do no loose the (surprisingly good quality) weld!

Examine the welds after you receive it. I also have an SRS, which is fine for what I paid for it. But weld around the O2 sensor bung had a small hole in it. JB weld fixed it, but I didn't notice the hole until after it started causing problems.

I would return your shitty system you recieved and look up Trubendz. Its 3" all the way thru. The system is really nice, includes all hardware, hangers, and gaskets. The flange is not welded in place so allignment isn't an issue. There is no muffler included but it only cost $225 shipped and thats for a fwd... The majority of aftermarket awd systems are cheaper then fwd systems....
