I dont like the pillar pod really anymore im just wondering if there is a thread on different gauge setups with pictures and a how to guide sorry if there I just couldnt find it I also have a 2g gst let me know thankyou

Yep that is indeed what I was talking about. I think it would be a great idea, but getting it to display something other than speed or RPM seems a bit too complicated for me. Maybe one day :p

I have my gauges tied into my dash dimmer opposite of the factory cluster. So I can have one brighter than the other, turn one of entirely or both at the same intensity.

I know a few people have done something similar.. Tyler @ Force Engineering did this but with all AEM products. I use ISSPRO EV2s daisy chained off their "brain box."

this is the setup that I have in my talon and then one in the center console and three on the pillar LOL. I got this carbon fiber vent off a member here on the boards.

I use a gauge cluster bezel, a center vent panel, and then some gauge cups mounted to the steering wheel column cover.

Did you have any issues with gauge depth fitment on your Autometer Gauge Cluster (saw the brand on your profile). My ebay one is super shallow. And also how is the quality on the vent gauge bezel? I'm looking to pick one of those up too.

Thanks.
:dsm:

I had the ones in my 92 mounted under the radio:

I did replace the NB disco-light gauge with a WB.

I had to cut the inside mounting stud off of both gauges for them to sit flush. Depending on the brand of gauges you have they might not fit right or sit flush. I bought it years ago when it first came out.

The vent gauge bezel I got off of ebay. It was like $25 and I had to send it to some guy who did the work, and then sent it back. The quality is ok, but when it came back I realized I could have probably just done it myself.

I ended up making my own cluster after seeing a picture of one done up on here. Not saying this is what you should do just trying to provide ideas.

I would love to do something like that, but how does the odometer work on aftermarket gauges?
They take a mileage reading every time I have to smog my car

It looks like there is a odometer on the speedometer, I would imagine it displays mileage in the same fashion as the factory(Trip & Total Mileage) just a bit more fancy looking.

awesome setup but one question, check engine light? did u Eliminate it get rid of it how do you view your knock?? i use my check engine Light via Dsmlink to monitor knock.

I have most of my parts gathered for my build and I am considering the gauge strategy now. I picked up a double and triple gauge pillar pod, but I would rather not use them. I am thinking about modifying the stock cluster and mounting few gauges in side of it but haven't decided. I may use the double pod on top of the steering column too.

Id totally purchase this!!

I would totally buy one of these too!..

I was looking for a solution for my gauges because the pillar caught the eyes of some thieves one night and thats the first thing they went for, surprisingly leaving the expensive radar detector.

I came in here to ask if there was a digital solution that accurately displays vitals like boost, oil pressure, air fuel but I would be really happy with something like this here. Great craftsmanship :thumb:

The 2g GlowShift cluster pod has bad gap issues from the bezel to the cluster's clear plastic cover. The attachment points for mounting do not exist on the bottom. The top required slightly longer screws, which aren't counter sunk to hide the heads. It's not a quality pod in my book, but I do run it because of the cost effectiveness and lack of other options.
