Got my new Turbo for the VR4!!! BIG thanks to Dave Nugent for selling me his BNIB Forced Performance HTA3586R!! 75 pounds per minute here I come! Now just gotta put this baby on the VR4 then have Chris Delgado at D3 Performance Engineering work his magic on the Dyno and get her tuned on E85. =)

so spool will be at 7500 rpm? why so big when you don't have a stroker build and cant rev it to 10k?

Have you not seen my build in the previous 11 pages? It's serious alright, and has all the supporting mods. Just waiting on the instal of this bad boy now then a 500 Dyno tune session.

What...on 1050's and a single walbro?

Chris is a great tuner so I'm sure he can squeeze some power out of it but I would upgrade the fuel system.

Yes I do intend to upgrade the fuel system but the point I was trying to make was this it is serious. Later I plan to get bigger lines, dual E85 450's, and 2150's as far as fuel goes.

While the car is down for mods, I got bored and cleaned up a few things today under the car =)

Got my Fuel system installed!






Then got the down pipe switched to Vband for the new turbo







Then got my wastegate dump tube all fabbed up























Then modified the water pipe for -6an for the turbo




She's getting there!! =)

Saw the latest pictures on FB, looks good Mike!

WG dump tube is all welded up and ready to go in.







Also fixed the leaking oil drain and fixed the slight kink the line had from before.




My Dyno tune appointment was originality set for tomorrow at 9am but there's still a few things here and there that need to be finished, Trying to get the car ready and tuned in time for TX2K, gonna be cutting it close.

And it's on! Samara is Officially HTA3586R powered now! Soo freakin beautiful, billet wheel sexiness =D







Using a 2g oil filter now for clearance, and all Vband now =)

Still up here at the shop and Chris had time in between cars to do a quick tune to get her on E85, before we Dyno tune it later on today. I've been wanting to take this pic for the longest time!!



Dyno results coming soon, got two cars ahead of me and it takes a few hours a car. Soo excited I can't even eat! Lol

Well according to mike it actually is easier to do now because before you had to remove the down pipe just to get the oil filter off and they re did it so nothing has to come off now. =)

Ok guys here's the video, she made 391 awhp and 280 torque at 16 psi and 81% IDC, it could make a lot more but we ran out of pump and the 1050's too. BIG thanks to Mike At Fist Racing for making this all possible and Chris Delgado at D3 Performance Engineering for his mad skills.

very nice car. cleanest gvr4 ive ever seen. i was ondering though is that the factory color. seems to have alot of pearl in it. if not would you mind telling me what color it is. also did you end up making it to tx2k14.

Thanks man, it's just Nile black with a bit more metallic in it. Not sure on the paint code. Yes made it to TX2K14, car had a few issues though.

Sweet one generation dsm I've owned a few love the color.

Changed my own oil today on the VR4 since the new setup and tune, I'm pretty proud of myself =)

How did you drain it?

I just removed one end of that bar in the way then it allows access to the drain plug Corey.


Long time since an update, car has been running great but started leaking at the water pipe due to it being old and corroded so I Got some brand new oem ones. I would like to replace it before our trip to the shootout and have Mike at FIST weld on the an fittings on it again. Went ahead and got a second one for the 91 GSX as well, these are kinda hard to come by.

Finally uploaded my little tunnel run in the VR4 on YouTube. This was very fun.

The car sounds badass Mike! The downpipe and the dump tube are a work of art, especially the dump the way it snakes around the downpipe.
