I was doing some work in the backyard. Heard a loud clunk. I immediately knew that was my carbon fiber rm lip cracking. My brother broke it, now I can't sell the extra rm lip but install it now. Shaking my head. EVO DRIVERS. he has an evo 10 LOL

Once your item ships, call UPS with the tracking # and tell them you'l.....

I didn't mind what was listed on their site. I think what happened is the shipper sent them as 4 separate shipments, instead of 4 parts of same shipment. So I got hit with full brokerage 4 times instead of once on a higher value. Once you get to a certain value brokerage doesn't go up much. :banghead:

Does installing a preamp with an iPhone charger/adapter count?

Sadly it took me longer than it should've. Turns out the previous owners after market radio harness' ground wire wasn't really attached to anything. Smh.

Dropped gas tank.

Lots of factory holes on the inner sides of the rockers. That helps explain why my rockers were packed with gravel/salt/dirt when I cut them open.

Quite a bit of crud sitting on the gas tank right next to them, so they will be sealed up.

Pulled fuel sender from tank. Car came with a Walbro 255HP .... been in an empty tank for 2+ years tho... so I dunno if it's still good.

Removed the lower intercooler piping.

Removed the downpipe.

Removed the driveshaft.

Removed everything else on bottom of car except for fuel/brake lines.

Bottom of car from front firewall to rear is ready to clean/seam seal/undercoat.

The pump should be ok I'd think, even if the tank was empty. It's not being run so no reason why it would be damaged in my opinion.
Replace the fuel and brake lines while your at it, then everything is nice and new.

I started making a mount for my AEM Twin Fire Ignition. I need to get to an actual car to finish it up, not 100% sure where I want it mounted. Might use a friend's car for mock up.

Seam sealed area above gas tank/rear seat area.

Sealed up 12+ holes on side surfaces that were open into the rocker area that rusted out. Hopefully I didn't seal any holes that need to be there. (I almost sealed up e-brake holes :nono: )

Made a seal for the half raD out of a small piece aluminum cause it extended a little far out due to hitting ic pipe on the other side

Thats your radiator ducted?

Can you get a bigger picture please, maybe a couple more feet away so we can see whats all goin on please?

It's just covering the edge of the fan that stuck out. It's a 2" piece of aluminum by 13" long

If ive got a half rad would i benefit for putting a sheet of aluminum behind the intercooler where the other half of the rad used to be? So it forced more air through it?

Here was the before

Looked like this before.

Scrubbed down floor/tunnel/rear wheel wells with degreaser. Rinsed with acid etch cleaner. :banghead:

My other car was so much easier on the rotisserie. The chassis of that one only weighs ~700lbs tho... I don't think my dual engine stand setup will hold this thing. :)

Received package from evilbay. Yonaka 3" ceramic core catalytic converter. $59 shipped. Dunno how they make money off this even with sweatshop workers.

Not today, but yesterday, I installed the hood pins/latches and finished the restoration on this hood I've been going on about. I think I may have over 20 hours into this thing, but the price was right.

I removed my turbo beacuse of a leaking oil feed line replaced the copper rings haven't put it back togethwr yet because I'm installing my fmic in a little along with gm maft..

2 coats of asphalt undercoating on entire floor. Hopefully it dries black like some previous undercoat. It looked brown under led lights :p

Wiped down gas tank straps. Touched up the ends with tremclad.

Brushed on some rubberized rocker guard on wheel well exposed sections of rear subframe.

Installed some 4-point cam-lock harnesses...

is that a direct bolt on? i need to start looking into cats since I'm planing to get my down pipe soon.

^Clearly it needs flanges. Its 3" too so you would need a 3" downpipe and cat back. I got a milspec high flow cat and a test pipe and merged. Then had them chop the tip off the thermal cat-back and make it 3 in all the way thru. Some 2g downpipes will eliminate the cat as well.

I have a 3" downpipe/catback.... I believe I need a cat for inspection whenever I finish this thing tho...

I'll make a jig for the downpipe with some scrap, so I can make a straight pipe with whatever I chop off.

......

Wire wheeled under-car exhaust heat shield/gas tank shield & acid etched them. They looked pretty nasty with surface rust before I hit em with the wheel. I think they were galvanized, then painted black originally.

As soon as they are fully dried, they will get a couple coats of Flat black Tremclad High Heat paint.

What's a cat for?
I'm so glad there's no e-testing here.

I'm starting to polish aluminum bits on my car. Starting with something easy like my Tial but I've also started to polish my IC piping. Mirror polishing aluminum is HATEFUL.
