Ok so I have a 97 esi with no engine mods expect a shitty intake. The car idles fine and takes off good but when I hit around 3.5k and shift the car is hesitant, and tries to bog down on me. I've changed the crankshaft position sensor and the Camshaft position sensor, oil, spark plugs, coil pack, and spark plug wires, injectors, fuel filter and pump, and cut off the catalytic converter, changed the TB and the TB gasket and the idle air control valve. The car doesn't show no CEL and no codes. I've been reading that it might be a bad MAP sensor. But I'm not sure, any one has a clue what can be wrong? I'm at a standstill with this damn car!

You could of checked all those sensors with a multimeter to see if they were good before buying them. You can check the map sensor too. If it isn't that I would try a different ecu. Have you checked the fuel filter too?

How much boost you runnin... had a similar problem and lowered the boost to 9 or 10 and she's fine.. or check for boost leaks

He said it was a ESI not a TSI. He has a 420a motor not a 4g63t

^^It also sounds like you were having fuel cut from lack of injectors being able to support the amount of boost you were running.

I changed the fuel filter and injectors and still same problem. I changed the map sensor last night and it ran a bit better but I still feel some sort of minor hesitance when I give it gas but nothing major with the new sensor
