Ohh ok so i made a bit of a mistake when ordering parts or my rear brake conversion. I had evo IX rear brembos in my closet for some time and i finally got around to buying rotors and pads for them. Now the problem is that i did not know that evo IX and X brembos are different from each other. So i order evo X rotors and pads, for evo IX calipers. Pads will not fit the IX calipers so my question now is, since the rotors are bigger will i need an adaptor to make these calipers clear them on my 2g? If so i can just buy some pads for the IX calipers and run these rotors. OR has anyone tried running Evo X rear calipers on a 2g? direct bolt on like the 8/9?
Trying to figure out if i should buy new calipers or new rotors/pads

Well the cheapest route would be to just get Evo IX rotors. It seems the X rotors are larger by 30mm. Unless you can make adapters for less than new rotors which I highly doubt you can unless you have access to a machine shop and steel and even then it'll be a bit time consuming to measure where it needs to be. And if you just decide to buy X calipers, I also highly doubt you can get them for less than a pair of IX rotors. Sell the X rotors and pads, get IX rotors and pads.

Yeah, ive been looking around and boy those rear X calipers sell way more than IX. I just love how big these rear rotors are for the X, makes my stock rotors look like drums

And another thing, with the rotors being bigger, I hope you get proper wheels that'll clear. I went with the VIII Enkeis so there was no guesswork involved.

Ive been confined to Evo wheels for about 2 years now, im running a BBK up front so the rears shouldn't be a problem. And i got some 18's volks waiting to go on ;) but thats another thread when i get all this stuff bolted on first

sorry to hijack your thread, but is there chance bolt on EVO X calipers+rotors on 2G just like EVO IX calipers+rotors?? I can get complete rear brakes from X for nice deal.. Thanks guys!

Yes, you can can. You just have to use the KMV brackets. Somewhere in this thread:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/han...10-brembo-calipers-dsm-conversion-1g-too.html there was a guy that went with the Evo X rotors and calipers. The X rotors are larger than the VIII/IX rotors as said already in this thread.
