He was walking around with a white shirt on that had "I am Ludacris" on it. LOL

Corey, (Gofer) came up to me between an auto x round and introduced himself as Corey. Im pretty sure I looked at him like WTF who? Then shortly after he said Gofer and it clicked. Ohhhhhhhhh, whats up?! haha

Haha Im a sped. I just didn't see him. Crap o well there is always next time.

Haha, thats how Craig introduced him to me. I was like "Which Corey?" (because I know at least 6, LOL)

None of the Tuner's members I met this past weekend looked at ALL like I had pictured, LOL.

I accidentally bumped into Luda running out of the bathroom, I only know so because I saw his "my name is" sticker. I'm not a known member so didn't say hi. Lol. But the sticker thing works. We should all wear 1 next year.

Were you expecting someone goofier looking when you met me? ROFL

Wow! I saw absolutely no one at the shootout. There were well over a dozen people I was wanting to go see and didnt see 1.

Michael, I did stop by your tent but you weren't there, you guys did say you'd be easy to spot but I don't believe I ever spotted you LOL

How did you not see Hess? I think I saw him at least 6 times normally with a drink in his hand, pulling a cooler, throwing out can coozies.

Yeah....we're a hell of a lot more handsome in person. :D

No shame in agreeing with you, LOL.

YES! That would make my life a LOT easier. I had a couple hundred people coming up to me knowing the entire life story about my car and I felt guilty for having no idea who they were, LOL.

Was the surprise on my face THAT obvious?? Haha. No, it wasn't that I pictured anyone to look goofy or attractive or ugly. Over the years, I've just attached imaginative faces and voices for all you guys, and I was WAY off, LOL.

I think its due to the fact that so many of you complain about your age and being "old." I live in the state where 95% of people retire. NO ONE I met this past weekend is old, haha

I noticed that you carefully worded that to exclude people you had met in person before this year. :ohdamn:

.... and this is where I feel really guilty for forgetting I met you last year, LOL

Righttttttt.

LOL

Seriously! I've been getting "It was awesome to finally meet you!" messages from people I don't recognize and I'm all..... "Yea! You too!!" Lol

Had a great time at the shootout. Got to meet a ton of people and hang with my DSM friends yet another year.

The car was very consistent all weekend finishing first in qualifying, and taking home a first place win in DSE. The people in this class are awesome competitors including Tim Zimmer, Drew Jones, John Whalen, Jason Accuri, Gabe, Phunny, ect. A lot of people had a tough time staying together, and after going rounds, ended up with a best of 9.89 @ 144 on the Forced Performance HTA35R.

Next year the car is going on a diet as its a pig currently at 3250lbs with driver. Hopefully we can dip in the low 9's with the HTA35r with a little more boost as well.

It was fun people. Thanks for the support of my friends, family, and sponsor ARMOR Home Improvements. I also owe a huge thanks to all the vendors that sell badass parts that make it even possible for us to race including Forced Performance, FIC, Kiggly Racing, JM fabrications, ETS, Curt Brown Racing, TMZ (Tim Zimmer) ect. Without you guys we wouldn't be in this position.

Until next year people.

Ok so I have been looking at different websites about the 2014 shootout but I have few questions on how much it is to get in for all 3 days, how much to run your car, how much to dyno your car if you have awd/fwd, what is the address as I seen 2 different addresses like the one I seen the most was in Norwalk and were is every one staying at since a lot of places are sold out? I'm from Illinois and I would be going with like 7 people. Some one also told me there will be a dj if not more then one playing music like how it is at the another level car shows in Illinois for those who know what event is another level and other events is that true?

There is no DJ's to my knowledge anyplace. Thats not to say it cant/wont happen someplace (ive seen allot crazier shit then that ) But officially no DJ's.

The 2 official places to get your info/prices from are
https://www.facebook.com/DSMEVOShootout
and
22nd ANNUAL DSM/EVO/GTR SHOOTOUT

Regarding were to stay:
I can give you several other options besides whats listed. I've been to in the neighborhood of 10 shootouts

Motel 6 in Milan is best bang for the buck. There are 2 hotels that share a parking lot and a campground right next to it. They actually welcome DSM'ers to there property instead of just tolerating us.

**Motel 6-SPECIAL (419) 499-8001
SHOOTOUT RATES, THEY WANT THE ENTIRE HOTEL SOLD OUT TO US!!

Super 8 419-499-4671 ( across the street from motel 6 )
Red Roof Inn 419-499-4347 ( across the street from motel 6 )
Quality Inn 419-499-4681 ( half mile or so down the road from Motel 6 )

Historicity norwalk was the place to be but this is becoming less and less the case. Its over priced and the hotel staff is normally bitchy.
NORWALK:
All American Inn and Suites 419-663-1922
Best Western 419-663-3501
Econolodge 419-668-5656

22nd ANNUAL DSM/EVO/GTR SHOOTOUT

That is a link to the page that is most accurate for the Shootout information. I try to constantly keep all of the pages up to date but on race day this is the one that I print and refer to.

There is no way to be confused on entry fees, as you will see by looking at the rules and pricing.

The dyno competition rules are also there with fees. The hotels are also there and if something is sold out just go down the list of hotels until you find a room. Norwalk is the town you want to stay in for the most amount of people attending, from there it goes to Milan and then Sandusky.

There is NO DJ, good God, someone kick me square in the ####ing balls if I ever turn this event into a circus show like that.

Thank you! Haha The only music I need at the Shootout is spooling turbos, 2 steps, and exhaust!

David. other than the 16g, and hta68, what other turbos are considered stock appearing for the DSM 1G and 2G ? thanx

B

Hey Billy, probably better to ask on this year's thread. "The turbo on your 1g/2g DSM/EVO MUST appear to be a stock turbo for ANY 1G, 2G DSM or EVO and NO nitrous". Anything is legal as long as you can stuff it into a stock housing, just like the Force Engineering guys did last year. That includes the FP Evo turbos like the Green, Red, and Black housings. I really think the key for you is to follow the Force Engineering guys' example from last year and get the Little Auto on methanol. They will be again this year, so if you're serious about trying to beat them then you should as well.

thanx mike. u going this year?

Tyler is changing things up and will probably be running DSE this year actually.

But the turbo's should be pretty clear. Any stock appearing 1g dsm (see tdo5h compressor housing and mitsu flange hotside), 2g dsm (pretty much limited to the T-25 or T-28), or Evo stock appearing (so many options FP white, green, red, black, map ef series, etc.). The trick with the evo stock appearing turbo's is that you cannot use their dsm "same named" counterparts as they are not the same thing (ie. can't use DSM fp green, can use Evo FP green). Any of those turbos can be used on any platform, meaning you could use an evo stock appearing turbo on your dsm, if you want to go through the work of doing it.

This opens it up to some crazy custom turbo's obviously , such as the F3SA. As long as you use a TDO5H compressor housing, you can machine it to accept whatever compressor wheel you want that will still fit. With the FP 8cm hotside available, there are much larger turbine wheels that can be accepted as well.

I was honestly surprised that Force was the only ones to bring something like that last year. But, having no class payout means it doesn't attract very many people who would want to custom build something. At least that's my .02

I think he said he is going to the run the FP Black. JB or BB im not sure.. That class is going to be fast this year but no nitrous is the key to turbo selection for the Auto guys. He was easily into the 9s on the stock housing F3SA so the 35r wheeled Black should be interesting. Hes going to have to add weight back into the car however to fit the class.

Shane you sticking with the 14b this year?
