So it looks like I have a strange FPR, looks like a stock one that has been modded or something.
I've only ever used Aeromotive FPR's in the past, this car I bought earlier this month has this and it works great but just curious what exactly it is?

Tough to tell with the lighting but it does look like a stock FPR that someone modified. It looks like it's adjustable on the top with that bolt.

If it actually works I wonder how reliable it is. Might be a cheaper alternative than going to a no name eBay brand.

I have definetly never seen anyone mod a stock fpr though.

at class right now and I rode my bike so not near the car. Will be able to take a better pic in about 2 hours.

I took this other pic when I took the first one, but it's really not any better. Took the pics when I first bought a month ago and only now getting around to asking.
It's set perfect and seems to do great. Car is running a walbro 255lph rewired. 950cc Injectors / DSMLink 2.5 on 93.

This pic is honestly worse though haha. I'll get a clearer one when I get home from class.

Use the macro setting on your camera and get up close on it. Assuming you're using a camera phone, most of those have a macro setting as well.

Yea it does, I just took it in the 'normal' mode when I took those two pics a month ago. I'll get a good one when I'm home.

I agree this looks like a modified stock FPR. I don't know how its working properly though. The problem with the stock FPR was it didn't flow enough to lower fuel pressure back to stock values when running a HP pump, so fuel pressure would climb but not on a 1:1 ratio like you want. OP, can you measure your fuel pressure?

It does look like the stock one, there is a thread on the forum I found awhile back showing how to turn the stock one into an adjustable one, it was done on a galant fpr, but the concept would still be the same for the others. Basically remove the reducer for the return line and you can adjust it as you please. It may have been what the previous owner did on your car. Looks like it works quite well though.

Here's some better pictures along with a video of a cold start of the fuel pressure. I would record idle but when idling it has an idle surge issue due to bad shaft seals on the TB that is getting rebuilt this weekend so I figure warm idle with the surge wouldn't be any better.

Fair warning, my phone's mic is shitty and obnoxious.

Looks like an adjustable nissan fpr to me. Some had them or could be bought for them. Zxtts an things

Its an old HKS fuel pressure regulator.

You bought the car from me. I bought the regulator from HKS about 10 years or so ago. It always has worked good since new.

Could be rebadged just know where it was purchased.

That Nissan one isn't even close to the same. Its designed to bolt onto the fuel rail.
This one is -6AN inlet and outlet.

ahh cool to know you're on here.
I remember you mentioned HKS something in the ad but forgot what it was, and the FPR didn't look like anything I had seen before.

I use a b&m one and had no issue turning it down alittle to get my desired pressure! I've heard that and read it and was worried when I installed mine, but like I said it wasn't a issue at all! I'm still using it and have been for about 4 years with no issues!

yeah this one has no issues at all, just has been bugging me to find out what it is.
I love aeromotive but as long as this one works I'm happy with it. I don't plan to take this car past maybe 350whp at best until after I graduate so it should be perfect.
