Thanks guys! The car would be very lazy without nitrous. I use it to flash the converter. It shuts off once I hit 14lbs of boost and I launch with 10lbs so its not on very long at all. I bought a go pro and had it attached to the car. My friend hit the button but it was in photo mode so I have a picture of my car at the line LOL. I definitely need a better video of the car. I'll rev it to whatever I have to to go through the traps but I would like it to shift at 8500ish. This was my first pass off the trailer so I was guestimating my shift points through my forcedfour box since its delayed a little. I use AEMs boost controller and launch controls.

As far as the weight of the car- last time I weighed it it was 2600lbs. I think it might be somewhere in the low 2500s now though as I dropped a few more things. The car is still full interior, dash, radio, stock fuel tank street car. I mostly take it to home depot cause I can fit a bunch of crap in the back!

Ac, power steering, bumpers, hood, hatch, gutted dash, and some other stuff I cant really think of. The usual stuff most people take out LOL.

Oh sorry. Here it is. It's also on the YouTube video I posted.

I havent done much testing with the auto honestly Ive been trying to get it setup. The previous best was 10.2 with a 1.72 60ft. Ive been using the nitrous since I swapped to auto. The restalled converter is from Florida Torque Converter Great company and a very quick turnaround. The converter kicks ass!

Im not up on the records and such. The only record I would be proud of is fastest 2g FWD which Im a long ways off.

Congrats on the times Richard. What does your converter stall to without nitrous? What RPM are you crossing the line?

This was the first pass on the converter and axles. Im crossing the line at 8700rpm or so. The speedo is off so im not sure when I exactly cross the line to when I left off. The converter goes to about 2900rpm or so. I honestly didnt even try it. It may go higher.

Okay sooooo what do you think this thing is capable of? Whats your goal? You already hold the 2g hx40 record. And I'm comming for it :sneaky: but damn you living in florida and being able to track year round.

Im not sure what its capable of LOL. I think I can squeeze a 9.5 out of it maybe. My goal for the car was 10.5@140 LOL so I dont really know what the new goal is. I guess just keep it together and actually race it and some local events.

Urban: You're awd. You should get in to the 9s with the weight reduction you have planned(least i think thats what you've talked about), and the new build when you get in to a bigger turbo.
What really floors me is this a FWD for gods sake! OP: Guys like you make me question switching to awd(still doing it tho :). Definitely gives me confidence in my choice to ditch MT and go auto though. You've got that thing dialed in perfectly. Congrats on the very very impressive numbers..... from a 40 no less! Keep up the good work, you inspire many of us, especially FWD owners!

Thanks! Its definitely an uphill battle being FWD but it just makes it all the more fun and rewarded when I reached my goals.

nice :hellyeah:

do you go to the import showdown in reynolds ga?

No I haven't really done any traveling with the car. I just go to the local events in south florida. It's too expensive to bring the car around the state or neighboring states. I would like to though.

It does get expensive with gas and all, but it is fun to meet new people and race. It's all worth it unless the event gets rained out.
