Came out of James's talon, 95 I think. Need a spare rear diff as well?

You're a godsend. Carrier bearings and such in good condition as well as Ujoints? Text me - 870-476-2695

I'm going to make a thread later if I can't figure this out. I had a bunch of fuel leaks, as you guys remember, and fixed them. Slave cylinder went out and didn't drive it for a couple of days. Got the new slave in, and now I have another fuel leak!!! BUT! The thing is... I don't know where! I checked the filter, the feed line all the way to tank, injectors, AFPR. NOTHING! I even pulled the pump assembly out, and the pump O ring is still secured (couldn't blow through it). I'm at a loss. There is a small leak of fuel when the white connection is on the fuel pump assembly, but I don't think it has anything to do with it. Brand new Walbro 255hp. I need help!

I'm a dope... The fuel filter was on backwards. I put it on the way the words were facing. Pulled it out and one side had way more restriction than the other.

Also went to the parts store, and the 95-99 CTS has the same part number. According to advanceauto.

That is pure win sir. Hows she running now you have everything set, what's what really matters.

What the part-store shows and what the car needs are two separate things. There are interior oval clips, exterior clips, and that big-ass rectangular clip that you by no means should use.

Since it's Arkansas and I'm gonna be around Little Rock this weekend picking up a drive shaft, any of you fellas happen to have an ATV on the off chance? While moving I decided I no longer wanted my 47" flat screen so yeah. That for an old ATV. Fair deal eh? You know, just in case someone wants a TV and doesn't want their ATV/Dirt bike. :p

Hi, I am northwest of Batesville, have a 1992 Laser RS Turbo AWD, JDM swapout already done on engine and tranny. Runs really well, seems maybe a bit better than original engine, and no more hunting for and grinding through gears. But something may be wrong with the awd or transfer case. We just put a new carrier bearing and one u-joint in, had no effect on the problem. When I turn the steering, back up and take off forward, I am getting a feeling of resistance, sort of like a very mild bucking sensation, making me think that the transfer case is not operating smoothly. Having changed over the rest of the drivetrain, I wonder if there could be some lack of compatibility with the original transfer case and the JDM engine and tranny.

Nice choice of dsm, to hell with all you 2g guys hahahahaha.

Anyway, What type of jdm swap do you have? evo3 or gvr4? I have the same car with said jdm swap BUT, I went with the early gvr4 jdm engine and trans. If you happen to have the crazy rare and very awesome cph51 jdm trans (gvr4) that has the pin to take the car from awd-fwd, you can try removing it to set the car in fwd. What that does is disengages the x-case.

One other thing, If that x-case didn't come with your swap, i'm going to say it's the issue. you have a 92 that x-case should be a 23 spline where you'll need the earlier 22.

Another thing could be.... (how much resistance do you get?) I have solid front and rear diffs IF you have the same, you WILL have resistance when turning at low speeds say in a parking lot... Not very fun and will eat your tires.

Hey! I'm in batesville LOL. Hillia, you wish you had one! Joking! If you ever come to batesville, you'll see my dsm in pizza hut parking lot LOL. I'm always there working...

If something stupid doesn't happen I'll have a 2g TSI come next weekend... Just had to get it out there before I picked one up. hahaha

Hey guys been working a lot lately. Finally had some time recently to gather some parts and start on my build.

Here's a pic of the new Turbo setup for the time being. The manifold will be getting ceramic coated here soon. Planning on going deep into the 10's

COBY! How are things bud?

Nice turbo you got there. is it still holset? nice manifold too!

This is good stuff, thanks. I will have to try to figure out which one I have and get back with you. The engine has a red cover on it instead of the gray one that was on the original, and we had to swap out some accessories to adapt some things. The transfer case is my original. When we completed the swap, the trans case exhibited a whine. My tech replaced it with the original, and the whine went away, but that is perhaps when we got the resistance behavior. As you say, very noticeable in the parking lot if you back up and turn, or move back and forth while turning. Once you launch, it acts like it will run like it should, but there is some weirdness it seems to me. I have had the car for almost twelve years and even knew the car when it was new and owned it once after that briefly.

Thank you! I was going at a pretty good pace to have it back together then kind of came to a halt. Time to get that back started I think :thumb:

So clean! Keep us updated!

I appreciate it! Definitely will. I'm waiting on a few more parts so I can drop the motor in and route the tucked harness.

Dude things have been hectic to say the least. Things are FINALLY starting to "calm" down a little. That is not a holset. The next one I get probably will be though. Either a hx40 pro, or a a 6266. Most likely with a FF manifold.

OH GOD! you 2g guys are coming out of the woodwork! LOL!

Got the 1g back running like a . . . dsm. About to pick up a 2g awd right now.
