Hey how's it going,

I need to get a seat for my GST. Looking for a race only seat. I plan on rocking stock frame turbos for awhile. I would like to just get a summit/jegs/RCI/etc Poly seat and call it a day. It doesn't need to be crazy comfortable.

That being said, I played O-line in college, and have the lower body to prove it. I'm over 3 bills with a 42" waist, but it's not all gut like other guys I've seen squeeze into race cars (on pass time). Beer guts are pliable and squeeze into seats easy.

If money was no object i'd obviously have a sweet pro street kirkey, but that's not the case. As far as safety for a guy over 3 bills, I'm going to use a good 6 pt. harness with good tie down points.

Long story short, would anyone near Detroit/Ann Arbor/Lansing let me sit in your poly seat, or have any recommendations that won't break the bank?

Sorry mods if this is in the wrong forum. I really didn't know where else to put it.

im farther up north than you are but i have a jegs poly. im a bigger guy as well. power lifter in high school. but im probably a little smaller as im under 3. however the jegs isnt too bad. wouldnt really advise it if your going to do much street driving but should be good for track. i can get measuremants of the seat if you want....

ps its really cheep too

Thanks man I appreciate the offer. Is that the "high back" or "high back 2"? The dimensions are close. Yah I'd like to just get the $40 seat and call it a day. Yah I don't plan on even taking it on the street at this point. I guess as a size reference I fit in plane seats fine, snug but i'm definitely not falling out of it. I daily drove a 09 wrx for a few years, just traded it in.

Thanks Paul, if I make it out I'll more than likely be leaving with something.

*face palm* i had to check i couldnt remember which one i snagged.

i got the highback 2. honestly i really think you could get away with something like a highback 2.

havent had mine toooo long. but it seams pretty strong and the harness slots are located nicely.
