You are going to get reamed on this one, man, it's been covered a million times. But I'm a nice guy, so I'll give you the skinny before this thread is locked and thrown away.

1) You can't swap a 4G63t into a 2g 420a. You can, but it requires extensive fabrication, cutting, welding, etc. And no, you can't swap an Evo 4G63 in either, contrary to popular belief it's not bolt in and go, this is why a lot of people have started the swap, only to stop, part the car out, and buy an already 4G63 equipped DSM.

2) There are thousands of turbos out there, and I can't tell you any of them because I don't know what you are looking for. On this one you are going to have to search, search, read, research, and search some more to find out what the best avenue is, what your ideal turbo/spool time/power goals will be, and go from there. Honestly, I would just recommend getting a cheap 1G AWD, and keeping your 2G as a fun, reliable daily.

Thanks man will do. I have been doing a lot of research and I might do that or just say screw it and just build a 420a moto, cause this my car is like mint condition! It will b my little money pit cause I really don't wanna get rid of it or part it out! When I get another vehicle it's gonna b a jeep or truck

im interested in doing the same conversion with my 95 talon esi. does anyone know where and how much the frame has to be notched to fit the 4g63? im assuming around the battery tray and the rad mount? also im wondering how much of the exhaust has to be rerouted? moreover my main reason for switching is i want awd capability. if i could find an AWD transaxle that bolts up to a 420a i'd rather do that. does anyone know of one? i have a potential 4g63 awd donor car.

just build and boost the 420a. its the easiest way to go

Building a motor, + turbo + fabricating manifold + exhaust > Buying a GSX/T for less money? No thanks IMO. :hmm:

Dude! Your going to spend like 100x more then buying a GSX!

make sure its pretty much rust free aswell you don't wanna be in my shoes. I'm still debating showing pictures of my rot box it makes me ill

91-gs is right definitely look at that build for sure, even if your'e not going to do the swap, it shows you just how much work it actually takes. And big props for the guy and all his fab work, sure is impressive
