Fastest Auto AWD DSM NO NITROUS

Here's the car on the dyno!!

After looking at the log of the 9.27 pass, DSMKING hit the rev limiter 21 times. The trans or the converter is slipping a lot. Once we get that problem solved, this is going to be one BAD ASS DSM! All the passes were done using only 38 psi. Once the trans/converter issue is fixed, we will turn up the boost to the 50-55 psi range!!:rocks:

We were very happy with being able to stall up the car WITHOUT NITROUS! Some key changes were made to cam timing along with some tuning, and we had that 42R spooling like a 16g:sneaky:

Since there was a clock issue, did you ever back that time up to actually make that record official?

Just wonderin'..

No time runs, There's no time on the board but it's on the slip and shouldn't a 9.48 back up a 9.27 pass?

no the 9.27 backed up the 9.48...

this build could not have been done witout the help from my good friend Devin Schultz. the last car of mine went mid nines with his help. And the help from him again on this car it will be in the 8's soon!!!!

Any more info on the car such as trans and converter setup, and build info of the whole project? Great job on the passes.

well the trans is from a guy here in illinois, he did the trans and converter.

motor:
the motor is a high compression motor 10.1 cp piston
pauter rods 2.4 crank/ full cement block

head:
head has a full port 1mm oversized valves and dual springs
custom comp cams aem cam gears old ams intake

turbo:
gt4202 twin 44 tial wastegates set at 38 lbs
pwr air to water intercooler 3in piping from turbo to Q45 throtle body

car made 700 on a mustang dyno :D

Nice so by looking more closely it's a full race car I take with a hard block. What's that thing weigh? Are you on a stock or billet converter? Great numbers.

Very nice. I'm guessing it is a stock restalled converter? I have a 2.4 auto gt4294 JB car. I got a N20 kit for the car to fix the spool problem. I am assuming the higher compression and some other little tricks help get that sucker going. Any tips please hit me up a PM!

Congrats on the time, can not wait to see this thing go into the 8s.

Nice ,
My 2g auto 3000gt went 9.18@153 at 18psi no nitrous 3 years ago with a 2900 pounds car

NBF

I finally got mine in the eights this year1 time but blew the car up and haven't backed up the time yet. I am in denver at 13,000 da. English Racing has helped me out alot with my setup to get it here.

NHRA requires back up. But I was under the impression a timeslip/video was good enough for this board.

Have I missed something?

No, I hold the record. That white 2g is super cool and will probably for sure end up beating me again for sure. Doesn't matter to me anyways, I just thought that it was a pretty cool thread so i figured i would give my 2 cents. I have 3 motors in the works right now so, hopefully for sure without any worries I should be able to back up some deep 8 sec passes up here. And at the shootout this year hopefully can be competitive in quick 16.

Hoping to throw my hat in the ring but my car is going to be a lot heavier with it still being street driven :(

More than once in this thread, somebody has mentioned a back up for their ET. I`ve submitted several times over the years, and never submitted a back up.

NHRA has lots of rules about record ETs. Are there some rules to the back ups mentioned in this thread? I found nothing on this forum or the original times page about back ups. DSMTimes.org - Home

Are the back ups mentioned here just a personal thing with those posters? Or, are there some rules about this somewhere?

Its pretty well standard in racing that any "record" you have to back it up with in say .025 just to eliminate timing errors etc that sometimes happen!

Just as an add-on, the no nitrous auto overall record is 8.21 (mine currently). I'm hoping to see you solidly into the 8'a next year Keith!
