East Coast Shootout - The premier all Mitsubishi turbo drag racing event!

is this strictly a drag shootout event? or will it be just like the annual shootout in ohio?

I can hardly wait.

I can hardly wait.

Me either. This is going to be a great event for sure. We have 99 cars confirmed as of this minute, a great deal of sponsors reaching out to us, and getting great traffic on both Facebook and the website. I am really looking forward to seeing all of this on event day. It's been a lot of work so far, but if we have another strong Mitsu event it's well worth it to me.

Is this a one year thing, or will there be more of these events in the future.Q

This sucks, its on my weekend to work.:banghead::barf:

Put in for a vacation day. Still should be early enough!

Our goal is to expand the event over time and add to it. It will be a yearly event as long as people continue to support it. Without you all and sponsors this wouldn't be possible. The more you guys spread the word on it, the larger it can become.

If everything goes as plan, the Sebring should make an apperance. Im going to try and get to as many events as I can this year..

Already pre-paid for my spot in True Street! The entry list is showing some solid competition in all of the classes. Hope my little FP3065 can keep up! :D

Mike, the fastest car doesn't always win. :thumb:

There's always a sick day, because you will be sick if you miss this event. A true mental health day.

This looks like it would be a blast.

All NHRA requirements apply to all cars but are not part of the class designations. Tech may be a bit lax for the event but I still wouldn't skimp on safety if I were you.

Can we specify full interior? IE heater box, controls, Steering colum cowel ect. Also what about windshield wiper and motor. I guess how anal are they going to be about this? Just trying to get a better idea of what to expect..

They've already set a very fair weight limit. They already say "front half interior" required. That means a dash, carpet, two seats, and your center console. Who cares about wiper motors and heater boxes?

I agree the weight limit is fair.. I was just asking so I didnt get any suprises when I got over there. Coming from MI its not exactly just a drive down the road. I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row so Im not towing a car all the way out there to spectate.

Definitely a fair concern. I'll let the ECSO guys chime in on this one directly but I'm really hoping they don't start acting like Buschur, kicking people out of classes for trivial things like no wipers. The weight limit, turbo size, DOT tire requirements, in my opinion, are the fairest way of determining a "street car". Who cares if it "looks" like a "proper" street car.

However, I will ask a question of my own about True Street. MIR allows one headlight removed for induction in True Street, Buschur supposedly requires both functioning headlights for DSE. What is the ruling for ECSO? As with the other rules discussed, I think it should be like MIR.
