My driver side door lock tries and fails to move when I use the keyless entry or buttons inside, but works fine if I use my key to unlock the passenger door. I assumed I needed a new actuator until I noticed this the other day, any tips other than replace it?

doesnt make alot of sense to me... so when you try to use your key chain or the door button inside it wont move? but if you unlock using your key on the other door it moves fine?

at first it sounds like a movement issue but if its moving freely when you use the key on the other door that doesnt make too much sense....

only thing i can think is maybe your driver door switch is bad?

as in when you use a key its an automatic unlock for both doors, but when you use the switch itself it doesnt work...

i really dont know im guessing. ha

I have been having a similar issue. I noticed one day when I was driving I hit the lock button on the door and the driver side did not lock. Soon after I started having problems where the car would not lock using the key fob either. If I lock the door manually with the key and then use the key fob to unlock the door the alarm goes off when I open the door and wont shut off until I start the car.

Two days ago I opened the door manually with the key, got in the car and noticed that I had no door light on the dash. I put the key in the ignition and still had power so I leaned over and pushed the door switch with my finger and the light on the dash illuminated.

I was originally thinking there could be something wrong with the ETACS ECU until the door switch issue the other day.
