The only way your going to find red is if you find one the same color at a salvage yard, otherwise your stuck ordering new and forced to take on the task of painting it yourself or taking it to a local auto bodyshop.

:ohdamn:

Matching red is damn near impossible to get exactly right... You can get close, but even the best professionals dread red paint. Maybe you should just strip the paint off the other one and just have black door handles. If you want to match a red exactly, or even close enough to not be "noticeable", good luck... I have used color matching machines that are supposed to match color exactly that couldn't get it perfect.

The whole point of my door handle repair kit is that you aren't forced to paint anything AND you don't need to buy Chinese crap that breaks again in a year or so. You re-use your original parts.

Thanks to dj99877 for providing my kit info for a better solution.
2G Eclipse, 2G Talon, Avenger, Sebring Door Handle Repair Kit

I've sold over 400 repair kits since I designed them in 2004. They are laser cut here in the USA and the brass hinge pins come out of Chicago.
I also am a supportting member of this site and have been here since 2003. Thanks to those who ordered recently.

Thank you for this. I was wondering if an option like this was even remotely possible. I have recently replaced my handles, and it was very frustrating at first. I have since purchased an additional set for standby parts in the event of my second set failing.
I am interested in purchasing these sets from you for reinforcements hoepfully before they break, AGAIN!

Dude those handles suck! I have broke 2 on my drivers side and once on my passenger. Bad cycle too. The ebay ones dont catch the bar inside right to open the door. I wedged a pencil in mine once to close that gap in there.... LOL

Broke my passenger side door handle Sunday morning and the driver side been broke forever. I saw the thread on how to repair but need the proper tools.... BS ( need a man to do it for me ). =( So gona look for a metal handle tired of coughing up 30 everytime this happens but seems to be common

There was a pair of the very rare metal handles for sale in the classifieds section a few days ago.

I don't know about you guys but arou.d here AutoZone sells both the driver and passanger doorhandles. 20for the drivers and 30 for the passanger...... Weird. Anyways I put one of those on because I don't trust eBay parts and it has worked great.

I broke mine and put a metal pin in it and added some jb weld has held up pretty well so far. Been about 6 mths since repair :)

Why doesnt anybody make the aluminum door handles anymore. Considering we all have to replace them every year or two, you figure it would be a gold mine. I know the cheapies are only 20 bucks or whatever but that adds up after a while. Especially for those who want there handles to match the car.

Mine always break where the lever and the handle meet, the reinforcement is useless

You are better off just getting L shaped brackets at home depot and use epoxy to set and fuse them

For paint matching go to your local auto parts store with your old broken door handle and compare the duplicolor perfect match can lids to your old one. On my car it was gm aspen white if I recall correctly.

Take the cap off of the can at the autoparts store and go outside to compare your old handle to the cap for the paint. Works perfect everytime
