i have an older generation megan full TBE. i like it and bought it from another forum user on here. that was like 3 years ago. i think if i could go back i woudl find a stock-ish looking muffler. an exhaust/muffler like megan, HKS, APEX just seems to scream for unwanted attention.

there's a guy on here that did a write up on his magnaflow dual tip exhaust project. the finish product looks almost identical to stock.

I would go with the Thermal....in fact I did after replacing many others. I've been through HKS, Apexi and a couple of others. They all rusted out and stated to come apart. I got pulled over a few times with the Apexi with the silencer out. Putting the silencer defeats the point of running a free flowing system.

sorry to threadjack, but I was also wondering on exhaust for a 2gb eclipse. I currently have a gst but im going to be looking at a gsx this weekend. The thermal sounds nice and the apexi and hks sounds alright, but I really love the deep tone of the megan. I was thinking of doing the full 3inch turbo back. What do you guys think?

can't go wrong with megan. i like mine. if i recall the only reason why i didn't get an APEX exhaust was because it wasn't stainless steel and it was only for the catback. i would've needed to purchase a DP in addition to that. besides i think my full TB megan system came up cheaper than just the APEX catback.

I have a thermal. Wouldn't go any other route.

I wouldn't let the non stainless steel aspect of the apexi n1 scare you off, I had a full apexi n1 on my gst for about 9 years and it was still in fantastic shape with little to no rust. If I bought another eclipse though I would've gone thermal r&d this time around because they fill the opening in the bumper nicely.

thermal all the way . my son had it on his 98 gsx and the only thing i didn't like was the big tip . the sound though was perfect . on my 98 gsx i had the extreem motorsport which had a smaller tip but the sound was louder than the thermal.

Thermal hands down. I love mine.

I have now changed my mind, i heard the HKS Hi-Power yesterday and fell in love with the deep throaty tone

I used to have an hks hi power muffler on my custom 3" exhaust on my old 2g, always loved how it sounded. Still trying to decide what to get for my awd Spyder.

Hi-power sounds pretty good but the n1 sounds better to me. I've ran them both and the n1 never gets old to me but if I did it again I would probably go thermal. Probably

I have a magna flow muffler on my 2g gsx and love it to death! Best sounding exhaust in my opinion. Fills the rear bumper nicely.

my srs full 3inch has same angle as the hks

Personally id say thermal but ive never had a problem with HKS exhaust either totally your call both are decent exhaust.
