So I've been thinking about getting a aftermarket bov and couldn't really find anything online to help me out. What other materials would I need if I wanted to install a aftermarket bov?

If you are using the stock intercooller piping all you would need is a flange/adapter for the style bov you plan to use. I would recommend keeping it recirculated if you are still on the stock 2g maf.

I would also recommend just saving your money and getting a 1g BOV. Unless you're getting into some serious boost, you don't need to push the limits of a 1g BOV, especially after it's crushed.

Crushing 1g bov's is old tech. The dodge garage mod is far superior and it still has it's full range of motion.

Just get a 1g dsm blow off valve cheapest and efficient route. If you have money to waste the tial QR 50mm with the dsm/evo recirculation port is nice, since im assuming your still on stock maf.

So would you not recommend getting a HKS SSQV bov if I'm stock?

Why would you want one? For the sound? I have found them to be very hit and moss. One will work good and the next will leak like a seiv. Just stick with a 1g bov or a good used greddy type s or rs.

I do enjoy the sound compared to others, so it's not worth it in your opinion?

Unless you have at least a maft setup or speed density than you will not hear the bov because it needs to be recirculated back into the intake.

You can definitely still hear it when its recirculated. I had a SSQV on my last car recirculated and it would flutter a lot. On my current car I have a Forge. I really like it. I'm running 30psi right now and it holds it just fine.

Start with this VRSF 2G DSM Front Mount Intercooler Kit FMIC : 95-99 Eclipse & Talon Turbo 2G DSM and im am sure u can find someone to give u or sell super cheap a 1g bov. If u want to be loud and vent save your money get ecmlink go speed density and do it right. Otherwise just get a air tank and air horn and install in your car if u wanna make noise. But if your beyond stock then just leave it rather pointless and a headache to waste to setup a hardpipe and a bov flange when at once point u will probaby replace it and waste more money on parts imo. :D
