So I am installing racing harness because the previous owner had started to strip the car down and all that was left was the lap belt on the driver side.

Think it came out well, for $25. You can order the grommets from Corbeau, just call them up and tell them you want the 5th seat belt grommet. Its not listed on the site, and as of 11/15/13 they were about $11 each. You need to order 2 per each seat.

Also I followed this write up from the VFAQ, its pretty good. How to install a 5 point harness

Got questions let me know!

Its actually really easy, i follow the step by step for the most part, the new grommets are dont required you to cut them however. First hole i made, i took my time and spent maybe 1hr doing, the second took maybe 30min tops.

TIP: I suggest getting a good medium size drill bit that is made for metal and steel. Once you outline the inside of the grommet and cut out the foam, drill as many holes as possible in the outline of the rectangle for the grommet itself. This way you dont have to use the dremel for much. When you do use the dremel i used a carbide cutting bit and just moved from hole to hole. Much easier than just trying to use a cutting wheel.

+1 on it looks good. I thought about doing something like that with the 2g seats. I would have to put foam in between the seat and the head rest and then recover with a new seat cover.

Not bad nice job very creative . I would dye the seats black that would set them off IMO.

Nice. I don't think I've seen this done before. :thumb:
