Hey guys, this is my first post here.
I'm looking for a 2GB front bumper and found a couple on Amazon:

This one here is $27 and I'm reaaaaaally skeptical on the quality because of the price; it just seems too good to be true.

And this one is $62 which seems like a more realistic price.

I don't mind paying $62 but hey if I could get it for 27 why not? What are your thoughts? Junk yards are not an option here because there aren't many DSMs in puerto rico. I did manage to get a hold of someone selling one but he wants $100 for it

Yup! $98 bucks for a bumper that most likely will be crap. Honestly just pay the $100, have it right away and with confidence o being an original one. Just my 2 cents.

yep might just end up doing this, after negotiating of course. Anyway this is the one he's selling, is it OEM? The mitsu logo looks ridiculously big...

The emblem looks like it's off of another car or one of those "light-up-emblems" from ebay. The bumper looks to be the right 2gb style but it's hard for me to tell from a picture if it's OEM or not. Maybe someone else could give incite on that aspect.

buy the evan fisher brand have it and love it it is emblemless though, all holes line up phenomenally

I think it is aftermarket. The left side of the bumper isn't even sitting flush. I also believe the OEM ones had a little indent for where the emblem went? I bought a bumper off ebay for like 135 bucks back in the day for my 2gb. Fitment was perfect.

Got my front bumper from Amazon for $90 shipped, sold by Car Parts Depot. Seemed pretty good deal since most places had them for that much and then slapped on $50+ shipping. It shipped on a Monday and I got it Friday.

The original oem bumper cover has a indentation where the mitsubishi emblem sits. The oem fits better than the aftermarket bumpers, no gaps below the headlights and it seems to be more rigid in form. I just bought one for my 99 gsx from the dealer, supposedly the last one in the country. At least thats what the parts guy told me. O yea and i only paid $126, please don't hate.

I would message the auto lighthouse or whatever shop directly. Do you think the shipping may be calculated some generic way for internet purposes? I bet it is. I mean were talking a large package and they ship using normal shipping services like usps/fed x. Size wise it would be looked at as freight. Freight shipping, international, and bulky all point to expensive. Heck I have sent a few packages to canada which isn't very far away for me that only weighted 3-4 ounces in a small envelope about 5" x 7" and they charge me something like $13-14.

I bet that one your looking at local is an aftermarket and they just stuck that badge on there. Hey get a job at a parts store like machinegun to get the discount bumper then quit. LOL

Anyone with an aftermarket bumper, is it the OEM, pliable, polyurethane bumper? Or is it plastic that will shatter if you look at it the wrong way?

Hey, here are some pictures of the bumper I got. Got for 45.00 New.

It seems to be a decent quality durable plastic. Fitment is pretty spot on, like it better than the original one. Only TWO zip-ties are holding it on in the pictures.

45 is with your discount correct? How much is it regular price?

Off topic but what are the wheel/tire spec of the ones on the first pic you posted? You could pm me so I don't hijack the thread.
