Is there suppose to be a picture of the car?

If you squint really hard you can see he missed a spot by the driver side fender. Op you should try laying down more coats of it on that spot. Also all the bubbles one the hood are just terrible you are shooting the can too closely. Other than those few issues the car came out pretty good. :D

To all of you smart ass posters before the pictures were up thanks for the good laugh here you all go now let know

Thanks everyone and I used the glossifier from dipyourcar with a supply total of 2 gallons of satin black and 1 gallon of gloss curtain spots were more beat up then others since my clear coat was sunburnt but once I knocked out the rear everything else was smooth sailing and my hopes are 6-10 months out of it.

On average, if you include the cost of the spray gun ($99) and materials. With at least two gallons, tape, prepping the car with anything like a clay bar, sanding, etc etc... it costs about $250 to do the right way. Or half that if you use spray cans. I've read it takes between 15-20 cans @ $6 a can for just black, colors are little more. Doing a color change (mine from black to white) I'd expect it to take the higher can count.

I've been divulging into this recently, going to do a panda job on mine. Just don't know if I want to fork over the cash for a real job on the almost drinking age legal ride, or do it in a weekend with $300???

It toke about 300-350$ total my buddy just started painting so I just gave him 100$ to teach me some pointers and help with the later coats to look smooth which worked out well, and to use his garage and equipment. As far as painting supplies about 100-200$ depending on which type of gun you want can give you a little more details on supply overall i give dipping the thumbs up but I would not have went out to teach myself this process due to fact my first coats were lets say rough hahah

Well, in the stuff I have done myself, the first 2-3 coats I could still clearly see through the dip. Did you lay down a couple of base coats that basically looked like a mist on the car? That's the key for a nice removal. Then you can lay down a few thick coats to get full coverage. On the parts I've done that were a color change, I was at 6 coats. I peeled one a couple months later due to a chip and it came off nicely, it wasn't a full sheet but it was a few large pieces.

Either way it looks good, and as stated, if it gets tough to remove (because once its starts drying it continues to dry out) you can always spray another heavy coat on and when that dries, peel it off.
