I don't have the tools nor know anything about welding and what not, so since I got a stock exhaust except for my Apexi N1 Can which the back of it won't pass inspection as well looking for a cheap but worth the investment full exhaust.

Well that depends on what you call cheap? If your investing in one I would spend the money once, purchase a known brand for your car cant go wrong when you use a vendor here.

Thats a catback exhaust in the link, how will that fix the broken flex on your downpipe. Are you looking for a downpipe as well?

i wouldnt buy those there junk my friend bought one for his car and within a month his baffles came flying out of his exhaust and all he had was a giant tin can on his car with no baffles and now he has a full megan racing exhaust and downpipe on his car well worth it to spend the money and get a name brand exhaust!

Ehhh did you say "Megan" and "Brand name" in the same sentence? Just coming from experience with buying cars with Megan junk on them and had cracks in piping and welds break off of flanges. Still have the o2 housing off my old SR20 if I need to provide proof. I would go with real brand names (HKS, Apexi, thermal etc) you will be much happier. Don't have to buy new. I see part outs and used exhaust forsale all over the place (Craigslist and Facebook)

I've never once had issues with Megan exhaust parts including an 02 housing. I'm sure there's a few bad units that leave the warehouse but I don't think they deserve to be labeled junk. IMO they are a good affordable product.

^This.

OP you are looking for a downpipe. Not a catback exhaust. 2G Turbo FWD downpipes are a dime a dozen on eBay if you're willing to take a chance on them. Otherwise name brands can be found through our supporting vendors.

Piping is piping, OP. I've bought eBay exhausts that sound, feel and look JUST as good as the name brand. It really isn't something worth blowing money on. IMO, the N1 is the best sound.
By the way, you need a downpipe, not a catback.

okay sorry i wouldnt call them junk! like he said maybe he just got one of the bad products that leave the warehouse!

If they weren't clear, consider how much it costs to fix your stock exhaust and how much it costs to upgrade your exhaust. If the prices are close and you want to have a bit more performance out of your car, upgrade.

Anything you make less restrictive (bigger) in your exhaust lets your turbocharger breathe more easily, which means you get thrown back into your seat a bit harder at 4k+ rpm.

And anyone who can't weld stainless steel pipe together either doesn't know how to weld, had a bad day, had bad materials, or doesn't know how to weld. Oh wait, I already said that. It doesn't require big bucks to put exhaust pipes together. They aren't gears or drive shafts or connecting rods. They move exhaust from the front of your car to the back like the AC ducts in your house (sort of). I got my SS 3" turboback for a steal 6 years ago. Ebay SSAutoCrome! Not a single problem. The $300 I saved from *not* getting a "name brand" exhaust was priceless. But maybe I was lucky...and I don't have to pass emissions inspections!

I run a megan o2 housing and downpipe, and full 3 srs cat back with delete. Not one problem in 2years. I live in Pa and drive it in the snow all the time and it is as shiny as the day I out it on. the whoe setup cost me 350. There is no need to put a 1000 dollar exhaust system on to have some sweet name to throw around. Also no reason to spend 250-350 to get it fixed down the street when you will spend that upgrading later.

You can get bad "name brand " stuff just like you can get good "junk stuff" Some people have good luck with the cheap exhaust and even turbos on ebay. Myself I have a 3.5 apexi N1 full exhaust. The muffler rotted out and the flex part of the downpipe is leaking. Keep in mind you can buy like 3 of those "junks" for the price of one apexi..
