Smoling deal on a 91 Talon!!

Wow what a deal!!
Hey guy's, I just bought a 1991 Eagle Talon awd tsi off of kijiji, guess what I paid?

I saw it the moment it was listed and messaged the guy before anyone else.I knew there would be people all over it so I told him I'd take it sight unseen and EMT or paypal the money right away.
He almost let someone else have it because he was worried about paypal and EMT payments.

The car was painted and then parked,it turns over but won't start, it will need tires, brakes, rear 1/4 window. I have a motor that I'm currently rebuilding that will be dropped in.

Sorry if anyone here was after the car but I'll assure you it will be fixed and taken care of and not parted out, my daughter and I can't wait to start on it!!!
We are very thankful to have gotten it

I'm guessing 550. I have been looking for a clean awd 1G for the longest time. Very hard to find, and for the right price =D

Ahh young grass hopper thats why people like me link stuff like this DSM 4G63 Maintenance Guide - DSMtuners to you so that you and your daughter can have more information

So thats the story with the car just no motor, or whats all missing?

On a another note is the car a 5 speed or an automatic?Other than putting it back on the road with ## daughters help,any other plans? Mods maybe? Down the road of course

Thanks for the link and it's 5spd awd, I've owned a few Talons and one RS Laser.
The car is complete, it just wont start, but I haven't looked into why yet, I'm guessing old gas

I have a shed and garage full of Talon stuff, so I'll pick the best stuff to make this car great!!! LOL

I have AEM cam gears, evo cams, 16g turbo, 550cc, turbo timer, a 190 and a 255 Walbro pump, GM maf, K&N filter, Exeddy 3 puck clutch and I'm getting a fmic and pipes for xmas

Its the "I'm done with it sale". My favorite kind.

Besides, even scrapping a car requires more work than just posting, "come get this and bring me $300". That's so easy my 2 year old daughter could post it. Make it someone elses problem.

I think I should swap out the mirrors for my black spares, paint the "A" pillar trim, roof and wing back to black. What do you guy's think? Too much red? I have different rims and tires I'll be using also.

I would. I think it looks silly with the call all red. I think the black top makes the car.

Try checking the coolant sensor that makes them not start sometimes. Awesome have fun wrenchin with the daughter crazy deal.

2) A full tank of gas!

3) Adjustable HKS Suspension.

4)The engine bay is bone stock, un cut, un changed I thught that was very cool!!

The battery is charging and I'm putting some oil down the cylinders before I crank it. I wish I could prime the oil pump!

I'll keep you posted and thanks for the tip!

I should ad that I my self have never tried to start the car yet, I was told buy the owner that it would just turn over and not fire.
