why are these 2 things different on engine i ordered

I have a 99 engine that I have taken out (got stolen guy blew up my engine...) and I have ordered a used one thats suppose to be a 99 but theres a few differences and I am wondering why these things are different. The 1st and 2nd photo are of the coolant lines to the turbo. It was the stock turbo on there. The 1st one is on the block that was previously in my car. Now should I move that to the other engine or just leave the one that is on there. The 3rd and 4th is what confuses me the most...why is the 3rd pic (one previously in car) an end like that (12 point?) vs in the 4th pic it has a 6 point. Does that mean the engines aren't the same year? Both blocks are suppose to be stock. Sorry about this super stupid noob question... :banghead:

side note: the dumb company spray painted the block and there is that silver spray paint on part of the valves.... I personally am not a fan of that or is it ok and I am being way to picky??

If you use ARP head studs a Felpro composite will likely hold everything you'll throw at it. My car runs a $26 Felpro composite at 30 psi tuned on 93/meth.

Welllll thats fine an all. All I'm sayin is Ive been doing 37psi on my hx40 with regular ARP's and a permatorque mls and havent had any lifting issues

I'll be using that (or another brand) on my other block i will build. They are good but I need the extra money for other parts instead of getting the block decked ect

Stock 6bolt- 9.2 1/4 mile hollands performance

Stock 7 bolt 9.8 1/4 mile stm cory bowers

It's all in the tuning.
