Definitely adopted, but coming home to live with this family means little brother has a name to live up to.

The BRZ is sitting on the dyno ramp right now waiting his turn. It's a good looking car, drives very solid, handles corners, XM, navigation, nice interior, heated seats, HID's and for under $30k, I was personally thinking about buying one... once STM releases a turbo kit of course :) We have all winter to start making parts!

I'll get some interior photos later this week. If there are any oddities about the 2014 that anyone is interested in, just ask and I'll get some detailed photos.

Stay Tuned.

UPDATE! 11-21

We just had it on the Dyno. It put down 163/135 stock.
We weighed it with Half a Tank of gas, and it came in at 2729 . Time to see what weigh savings we can start with!

Can't wait to watch the progress on this, fully expect weekly updates LOL. Congrats on the purchase.

your shop is from a dream i love it!!.... can i have a job. even just sweeping the floor. please

I know they wouldn't be the first to swap the 2jz, I was referring to them releasing kits for it.

Nice brian I love that color looking for the build on this thing, I like all kinds of cars that one is really a great platform and has some goodies already.

Needs new wheels for sure. And a big turbo.

I thought the BRZ already had a turbo kit for it.

Why does the brz need a turbo kit? If the car was meant to be turbocharged they would have done it from the factory.. Or you could just wait for the brz sti which is rumored to possibly come turbocharged. It bothers me that everyone thinks you should just slap a turbo on every car and call it a day.

The brz sti is rumored NOT to have a turbo and factory engineers dont like to have as much fun as the rest I'd us thats why no factory 2door turbo brz

Pretty...or shall I say, cute car....but not much potential in its stock platform. I predict the common LS or 2JZ swaps will endup being the choice build for these cars in the future. That is unless the motor shows to have strong internals or strong aftermarket support and they hold up well after being turbo-ed...

I guess that's why ya guys bought it...anxious to see what parts are produced.

I should have said the brz sti WAS rumored to be turbocharged but I'm glad they won't be turboing that one either. They built the car to be well balanced, handle well and have an amazing driver feel.If you want a turbo buy a wrx or sti. I'm not saying a turbo kit is a bad idea, but I believe STM should put their time and research into something more important like handling, the whole reason the car was created. I assure you if Subaru/Toyota wanted the car to be turboed they would have done so at the factory. Anybody who says the brz needs a turbo or swap or whatever needs to actually drive a brz first. They are actually pretty quick. This Coming from someone who has driven both an sti and a brz, I would choose the brz just a a it comes.
