so, my organization method for all the bolts involved in removing the head has failed me, and the bolts are now all mixed together....are there any guides on which bolts go where, maybe with pics? or a site I can order ALL the bolts from, individually labeled?

nothing that wasn't necessary in the removal process, and i wrapped them together in painters tape and labeled them invidually with that, apparently that doesn't hold up very well when it gets wet -___-

lesson learned, the hard way.

It's not that hard. Just put all the like bolts in separate piles. If you can't get them all back where they and from than you should of never attempted this type of work. What bolt goes where is kind of simple compared to the attention to detail that replacing a head required. When I take something apart I throw all the bolts into a big magnetic tray, no labels, bags, tape or any of that.

yeah, and i'm sure that's not how you did your first head replacement. people make mistakes, I was just trying to get some clarification.

I know JNZ tuning sells some bolt kits for the transfer case and the transmission bolts. I'm not sure if anyone sells them for the head. You could just go through mitsu maybe and order them all ewww.

This is ridiculous, why in the world would you buy all new bolts for the top end just because you forgot where they all go. Good way to spend a thousand bucks trying to replace every oem bolt, nut and washer.

Bring them to me when you bring in the head. I can tell you where they all go I have almost every bolt memorized on the DSM platform :)

This is exactly why I am religious about threading bolts back in a couple of turns after I take something off, unless it's something tedious like the valve cover or lower timing cover. Never had a single issue with lost or misplaced bolts doing it this way, and when you're knee deep in a tear down, you can be confident that all bolts are acounted for.

i'll just give it an attempt by myself, then if i need bolt placement help, i'll come to you guys haha. i'll be in within the next few days to talk some numbers with you guys.

yeah, I drove by the new one quite a few times, admired the SIM Evo driving past haha and i'll let you know once I get the head work done
