Hi all,

I'm hoping to get a couple ideas for seats for my street/strip car. I have done some searching but didn't find anything super recent. If I understand correctly, NHRA rules say that your seat must be fixed (no reclining or sliders) if you are running faster than 11.0. Is that right?

Either way, what have you all liked? I'm hoping to find seats that are light weight, look good, and are reasonably comfortable.

Price range?

Obviously, an FIA cert and belts will be a consideration if the rule book is out...

Sparco, Corbeau, etc...

Are those mounted with the brackets they sell on their site?
I bought a set on ebay, similar style, but the brackets were a joke. Had to cut, grind, weld. Too much BS for a seat that rides as high as my expedition.
The seat in your pic looks much lower and the mounts look great from what i can see of them

I used some eBay seat brackets and modified them to fit. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it saved me $150 and lots of waiting.

Those look good^^^^ and even sit low witht he brackets you made but you have the same problem as me: The flat part doesnt incline. Very uncomfortable. They need to slope back slightly. Maybe its not so bad, but my seats sit flat as a board too and I dont like it, I prefer the way stock seats slope down. Less strain on the lower back

I bought the set off ludachris and he had the brackets with the seats i believe they are from cipher too.

Not the best pic but here's the cobras i got cheap used..just cant deal with a fixed back seat for cruising anymore..

The Sparco Evo 2 is definitely my choice of fixed back, good for 150-200lb people and the XL for larger. I could daily in the Evo 2 for sure. I hated Brides, they felt like they were made for slim-waisted girls.
