Haha I had not a clue what nutswingers ment LOL I'm not into Hondas but doesn't that motor make like 180-190 stock, that's some work to get it to five, but I'm not a Honda guys so I don't know what it tales to get there with that motor, I'm interested to see how you get all this to work in the end, cool if it does just not how I would go about 500hp is all I was trying to get at mostly.
Also won't you have a four lug up front? Different rims? What about all the awd drive train stuff. Did you just take out the drive shaft haha?

Dam 11s I hope you have a dam good plan to make those tires hook up LOL FWD 11s Is hard but do able.

stock block b18s with a turbo can get 500hp with ease on e85 up here... i have a built block with forged pistons all all that yada yada. will be running FIC 2000cc injectors and a decent sized turbo. i should hit 500whp with hopefully around 20psi only. the block is bored out to 85.5mm to get alittle more displacement. as for the front end DSS will be making my custom axles once i get the measurments over to them so ill run all the DSM suspension stuff and wheels (which i like LOL) and the car came with all the drivetrain and such already pulled so it was the perfect shell for this

and for the 11s one of my buddys has an eg hatch with only 450hp and he runs 10s all day in that thing. i know its light but i should be able to snag 11s

When I first seen this I didn't know what to think. But thinking about this its kinda cool. I am in no way shape or form a Honda fan but will admit I've seen a few I like most of the rep Honda's get is from teenagers getting them and have no idea what they are doing. Same thing happens with eclipses. Mostly with the 420a guy and why no one on here takes them serious. This doesn't look a waste even though yes the 4g63 is one of the best four bangers who cars it's something different most the build threads on here are the exact same thing over and over so I rarely go through any. I have noticed a lot of 4g63 guys always dogging anything else which really has me not wanting to use the site but its one of the only good ones. Not saying you all are just a few. Still quite a few on here I like. This is an awesome build and looks like he is doing it right and yes this should be on here its still an eclipse like he said same suspension and brakes and interior. Just has a different hard. I car enthusiast yes has his favorite car and cars he hate but doesn't dog people down because they don't like something they did and still can admire it for the work they did.

Other words keep it up I like the build and should end up being something cool when it is done. We need more details.

I like to see new things.
The reliability argument holds weight for a stock Honda engine. But, any 500hp 4 cylinder is going to be more vulnerable to issues, especially an aluminum block, with an open deck.

I spaced out E85 that helps. What size tires for the front did you plan on. Also now knowing you have a built block 2000ccs and have dss making your axels, should lay the plan out better maybe like some of the other builds.

My 115hp D17 just cam walked.. but my 12 second 30psi stock bottom end 7 bolt is doing just fine. Maybe I should put a 4g in the Civic and cite reliability issues. But, I am very interested in how it all comes together. Who knows, you could bring something to the table to help out the community.

one word.... reliability LOL im a Honda guy at heart but I have a soft spot for 1gs so its time to make the "perfect" car for myself

HERESY I SAY....HERESY! The power of Christ compels you.

sorry i thought we could have any picture we want. i love the way that 1g looks

I thought so too initially, and originally had a picture of my engine bay.. which is apparently so alien at this stage in development to what it was earlier that a Mod insisted I change it to an exterior shot.

Will you be removing the AWD rear end to save weight? And I'll be amazed if you hit 400 tq @ 500hp on a Honda motor. I've never seen it. I guess you could do a long runner SMIM to help.

the rear end is out correct... and the b18 comes stock with an 81mm bore. my sleeved block has been pushed out to an 85.5mm so it should up the tq so we will see what it put out. ive never had a block this big before to compare to. and you would be surprised on the tq of turbo civics. stock they suck yes

I do believe you will have the first sleeved block in a DSM ever.

I've owned a ton of Honda and DSM cars, along with Nissan, Subaru, and BMW. When you start to push real amounts of power they ALL start to fail, most of the time it's driver error that makes it so.

It's cool that you're doing your own thing like the guys swaping a 4g in a classic Z. Some of those Z guys would flip out that something other than a nissan powerplant was going into it... In other words someone will always dislike your idea of this.

I'm sure you've had negative comments from the honda side of it as well for putting your engine in a DSM.

Keep us updated on the build, I wonder how this'll go.

On a positive note or everyone reading this and you're not a fan of his build.... If a Honda outruns him for whatever reason they didn't beat a DSM, it's just another Honda incognito.

you summed it up perfectly LOL

started on the dash tonight... things will start to slow down soon as many of you know that winter in Fargo, ND = everyone is in hibernation until March. Oh how I wish I had a heated shop

HAHA no hater... I am a OG honda guy and built the fastest B16 Honda on NOS and still have the record with the help of KG. DSM is to heavy .

LOL its all good. I know shes a pig but ill be doing everything to drop weight. full lexan all around and a pin on fiberglass hatch

the rear end is out correct...

Curious how you did this? I temporarily converted my car to FWD previously, and I basically just gutted a junk 3 bolt rear diff and bolted it in with no axles/driveshaft. Even with that done, the rear subframe/suspension setup is still a lot heavier than a 1G FWD setup.

right now all of the rear end have been removed. I will be cutting and removing more then adding in some tubular bracing when I can get it up to my work

my old drag coupe I built last year

When in North Dakota...

haha. Not bad though.

right.... low of 20 today so i probably wont get much done.

pn a side note, what are some good coilover choices? i cant seem to find much for the 1g. im used to the civic wheres everyone has coilovers LOL

I want to see this thing built. I'm all for a car that doesn't fall into previously explored territory and it would be even better to see it with awd as well. I also never saw this level of complaining when people have shown v8 builds in the past.

From my research, there are no good suspension options for dsm's. Everything sucks according to the internet.
