Haha I had not a clue what nutswingers ment I'm not into Hondas but doesn't that motor make like 180-190 stock, that's some work to get it to five, but I'm not a Honda guys so I don't know what it tales to get there with that motor, I'm interested to see how you get all this to work in the end, cool if it does just not how I would go about 500hp is all I was trying to get at mostly.
Also won't you have a four lug up front? Different rims? What about all the awd drive train stuff. Did you just take out the drive shaft haha?
Dam 11s I hope you have a dam good plan to make those tires hook up FWD 11s Is hard but do able.
I spaced out E85 that helps. What size tires for the front did you plan on. Also now knowing you have a built block 2000ccs and have dss making your axels, should lay the plan out better maybe like some of the other builds.
My 115hp D17 just cam walked.. but my 12 second 30psi stock bottom end 7 bolt is doing just fine. Maybe I should put a 4g in the Civic and cite reliability issues. But, I am very interested in how it all comes together. Who knows, you could bring something to the table to help out the community.
Unless you own the Ostar car, you should probably use your car as an avatar.
one word.... reliability im a Honda guy at heart but I have a soft spot for 1gs so its time to make the "perfect" car for myself
HERESY I SAY....HERESY! The power of Christ compels you.
sorry i thought we could have any picture we want. i love the way that 1g looks
Will you be removing the AWD rear end to save weight? And I'll be amazed if you hit 400 tq @ 500hp on a Honda motor. I've never seen it. I guess you could do a long runner SMIM to help.
I've owned a ton of Honda and DSM cars, along with Nissan, Subaru, and BMW. When you start to push real amounts of power they ALL start to fail, most of the time it's driver error that makes it so.
It's cool that you're doing your own thing like the guys swaping a 4g in a classic Z. Some of those Z guys would flip out that something other than a nissan powerplant was going into it... In other words someone will always dislike your idea of this.
I'm sure you've had negative comments from the honda side of it as well for putting your engine in a DSM.
Keep us updated on the build, I wonder how this'll go.
On a positive note or everyone reading this and you're not a fan of his build.... If a Honda outruns him for whatever reason they didn't beat a DSM, it's just another Honda incognito.
thanks for the motivation.... haters gon hate
HAHA no hater... I am a OG honda guy and built the fastest B16 Honda on NOS and still have the record with the help of KG. DSM is to heavy .
the rear end is out correct...
Curious how you did this? I temporarily converted my car to FWD previously, and I basically just gutted a junk 3 bolt rear diff and bolted it in with no axles/driveshaft. Even with that done, the rear subframe/suspension setup is still a lot heavier than a 1G FWD setup.
When in North Dakota...
haha. Not bad though.
