Well I realized that the driver side mount was using the knock sensor hole so I have to remake that one(Thanks for telling me everyone haha). I hope to finish it this weekend and get some pics up.
I am also about to make a junk yard run right now, wish me luck on the turbo hunt:thumb:. Once I get the turbo I want to give building a manifold a shot, well see how that goes.

Sweet build! One day I will own a 240z! I'd love to see this thing one day! I reside in Fresno. Maybe when its done we'll see you at a meet.

I'm sure ill be out that way when its done. We normally hit up visa but go to fresno every once in a while. I actually just got back from there searching the junk yards for a turbo, no luck tho.

They did have a decent bodied 280z there propable snag it for few hundred bucks.

My buddy has a hx40 and a s256 I sold him cheap :banghead: that I am trying to get back from him.

I started fixing my mistake of a motor mount today. Moving it over the original mount holes on the block. I didn't get to far today, long day at work so wasn't feeling to froggy. Here is what I got going on for the mount now.

The mount has about an 3/4" to the steering rod and ill be tieing in a piece of 1/2" pipe from the other plate of metal bolted to the bock. Should work alright.

So i finally finished the mount, again, but it turned out pretty good. Still need to trim up the back part of the mount so the starter will fit. brake line is close but it'll make it. I should be picking up a 2g head for 50$ that I am going to use to mock everything else up with, and maybe a pacesetter turbo manifold if i can get it cheap.

So I finally got the 2g head for mock up on the 280, only 40 bucks and it looks like a pretty decent core too. I threw the intake on there just for kicks(i know its backwards) to see kinda what i was working with. Think I talked my buddy into selling his hx40 so once i get that I can start making a manifold. Never made one before but want to try :hellyeah:.

The daily driver has been taking up most of my time lately so things are moving slow, but here are some pics.

Great news every one!! I finally got my buddy to sale a turbo for a SUPER cheap price :thumb:. Its not a hx35 like iv been looking for but i think it will work, its a pretty much brand new S256. Got some pics of it of course.

This is the stock 14b put on for looks :D

I hope that thing treats you well :D. If you want to sell that 14b let me know, I need a stockish turbo to get my car running haha

Looks awesome! Im looking into doing a swap like this with the 7 bolt I have sitting around! Except I want to use a fox body mustang (easier to set up for drag) or a RX7 FC! keep up the good work

Sorry for the long wait, still don't have much of an update for you guys either. I did find a 1g intake manifold modified for a RWD project a member had built, it should be here any day now. I fooled around with a few t3 manifolds for dsms but nothing worked for me so I am going to be ordering flanges soon to make my own.

Few pics of S256 sitting in engine bay, it will probably be flipped and ran top mount.

Iv never played with anything bigger then a 16g before so it should be fun. Hoping I make enough power for this powerglide, if not I'll have to go turbo 350.

Well I got a critical piece to this puzzle to, my intake came in!! It is a stock 1g intake manifold that had already been modified for a RWD configuration. Intake looks great you can hardly tell it use to face the other way at all. Im going to need to get a spacer buecause the 90 TB I have is hitting on the FIAV that is non-removalbe. The TB had been bored out rebuilt so ill just get a spacer and some longer studs.

Looking good. Keep up the hard work. You'll be satisfied when it's done and that thing got you hammered against your seat. Hope everything is going good and according to plans. I might have missed it, but is this going to be a drag only? Or drift/drag etc? And what boost levels do you plan on? Engine management? Certain hp or just winging it?

It is going to be a drag only car, im shooting for 500-550 whp with around 30psi on this s256. Well that's the goal for now, i hope the turbo is enough to get me close. Im going to be running link it should be more then enough. Im worried about this power glide, I want enough motor to carry me.

Long time no update sorry about that but I have started making a little progress. Bought some 90 degree butt weld fittings, I got 1 1/2" but looking at it now they seem a little big. I am going to use them anyway see what it looks like. Im going to make some flanges out of 1/2" mild steel flat stock.

Well at least you started doing something, it's all about moving forward. I'm also going to build my own exhaust manifold, should be interesting seeing what you do.
