This year I decided to step back into the DSM game so I bought a 93 talon that looked to be in fairly good condition. I picked it up for 1200 completely stock and 100% complete. Problem was the motor wouldn't turn over.
I got the car home and immediately pulled the motor out.
Next I ordered the following:
Manley 9:1 pistons
Manley turbo tuff rods
Acl tri metal bearings
L19 head studs
Felpro permatorque head gasket
Jmf race intake manifold (came with a huge tb and I don't know what brand it is. Anyone?)
BC 280's
BC dual valve springs
Fidanza cam gears
Gates timing belt
Dsmlink v3 w/ speed density
Aem 5 bar
Dinosaur lifters
Super tech 1mm valves
I don't know the following member who I ordered all this from but he gave me such a good deal I couldn't pass it up.
Next I went to a local machine/performance shop called Ellis performance. At the time my cousin Jerry Jimney was also building a 2g so we convinced Bryan Ellis to give us a sponsorship. We ended up getting an extreme deal on getting our motors machined and assembled from a high reparative shop.
Next was deciding on a turbo setup. When I got back on the forums it's seemed like the whole game had changed. Holset turbos? I saw that people were getting nice power for a very nice price. So I bought a HX40 but then realized that I wanted a little more power and I wanted to be a little more different and try to get some more attention. HX52 was my final choice
Ended up finding a great deal on a DNP twin scroll T4 w/ Tial 44mm gate so I jumped on that.
I noticed that the vband flange on the turbo was actually 4.75 and there was no way I was going to clear the alternator.
So I milled the vband off of the exhaust housing.
I then purchased a Exedy twin disk clutch and then it was time to put the motor in.
Next was the fuel system. I purchased 2 Walboro 255's and made my own double pumper setup.
I then installed a 8an feed to the rail with a 6an return.
As of yesterday I took the car down to JSF (Joe Styles Fabrication) to my very good friend Mike McLaughlin. As of now we are work on a full 4" turbo back exhaust for the HX52 project. Last night we finished tacking up the downpipe and it is looking a fitting great. I did realize that no matter what I was going to have to relocate my alternator so I ordered the Jay Racing alternator kit. Here are some pictures from yesterday.
I will keep everyone updated from here. Also I would like to give a shout out to a couple of friends that have helped me along the way.

Thank you.
There will be alot more to come. I'm still stuck on deciding if I'm going to run 2150's with e85 or 1650's with race gas.
